Welcome to the latest edition of WWE News and Rumor Roundup. A Hall of Famer recently gave his take on a potential in-ring return.

Today's roundup features details regarding Brock Lesnar's imminent future and the Bray Wyatt-IMPACT Wrestling relationship as well. A popular WWE Superstar wants to dethrone Roman Reigns from the top of the mountain on SmackDown.

Additionally, Bayley reacted to a potential Queen's Crown Tournament outcome not too long ago.

With that in mind, let's dive straight into the most recent WWE News and Rumor Roundup.

#5 JBL's thoughts on a possible WWE return

Before the 2014 Royal Rumble, John Bradshaw Layfield last wrestled in a WWE match in 2009.

Speaking on the Talking Tough podcast, he recently expressed that a future in-ring return might not be on the cards. However, JBL seemed open to managing a superstar or helping out young talent in a non-wrestling capacity.

“I doubt it [in-ring return], I don’t wanna get out there. If I thought I could help one of the young guys, yes, I’d do it. If I could physically, I would do it. I don’t think physically I could do it. I would be happy to get out there and manage somebody or do something to help a young talent. I love working with the young guys. I really enjoy trying to give them my philosophy of how to be… I know a lot more about how to be a bad guy than I do a good guy,” JBL said.

The Hall of Famer noted that his height could be a problem as far as being an on-screen manager is concerned.

Superstars usually look taller than their managers after all, but at six-foot-six, JBL appears more towering in comparison to many professional wrestlers.

“The only problem with being a manager is I’m six [foot], six [inches]. It’s tough because I’m so much taller than a lot of the wrestlers, not that they’re even shorter than they were, but it’s hard for tall managers because you want a short manager that makes their guy look really big,” JBL added.

#4 Brock Lesnar to show up on WWE RAW?

On the WWE Draft episode of SmackDown, Brock Lesnar highlighted his free-agent status. This has led to significant speculation about The Beast Incarnate's creative direction within the company.

As per PWInsider (via CSS), he is expected to appear on RAW this week.

The episode will revolve around night two of the draft, with the brand futures of Jimmy and Jey Uso yet to be revealed. Roman Reigns has even ordered Paul Heyman to go to RAW and make sure his cousins - The Usos - end up on SmackDown.

Since Lesnar vs. Reigns will take place on October 21 at Crown Jewel, could the former world champion cross paths with The Tribal Chief's allies on the Red brand?

#3 Drew McIntyre mentions the possibility of dethroning Roman Reigns

As top champions, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre previously clashed at Survivor Series 2020. This match was critically acclaimed, and Reigns emerged victoriously via shenanigans. Since then, fans have been wondering about a potential rematch between the two.

After officially becoming a part of WWE SmackDown, McIntyre made it clear on Talking Smack that he is looking forward to another clash against The Tribal Chief.

"I want Roman, I want that match," McIntyre continued. "I tangled with him last year. He needed a bit of help to get that victory, but I know I can take him down. As much as winning those two WWE Championships meant to me, where Roman's at right now, taking him down, taking the Universal Championship would be the biggest moment of Drew McIntyre's career."

It's worth noting that The Scottish Warrior has been facing Roman Reigns in non-televised tag team matches lately.

#2 Bray Wyatt's reported status with IMPACT Wrestling

For weeks, rumors have indicated that ex-WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt is either headed to AEW or IMPACT Wrestling, with the latter promotion reportedly being the more plausible destination for him.

As per Fightful Select, IMPACT Wrestling officials have even asked one of their roster members to reach out to Wyatt. However, the former world champion's current status with the company is nowhere near a done deal. His 90-day non-compete clause with WWE will be over by the end of October.

Not too long ago, Rich Swann told Sportskeeda Wrestling that he would love to see Bray Wyatt in IMPACT Wrestling.

#1 Bayley reacts to Liv Morgan teasing her WWE Queen's Crown victory

WWE's Queen's Crown Tournament will play out through RAW and SmackDown's upcoming episodes, with the finals expected to be held during the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Liv Morgan's goal is to win the inaugural competition, and she recently took to Twitter to express the same. Bayley, who is currently out of action due to injury, responded to the tweet as well:

Although Morgan is a longtime fan-favorite, she is yet to win a title in WWE. As a result, winning the first-ever Queen's Crown Tournament could prove to be a huge step forward for the former Riott Squad member.
