It looks like the scheduled Randy Orton versus Bock Lesnar match is not going to be the last SmackDown vs Raw themed bout that WWE fans are going to witness as the company is planning more such collisions in the upcoming future.Dailywrestlingnews.com is reporting that WWE officials are planning to do at least one inter-promotion match at all the "Big Four" PPVs of the year which includes Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.The current plans are to develop feuds between top stars from both rosters and do a match between them to increase the influence of these 4 PPVs amongst the other Brand Exclusive events.This way WWE will also be able to make some of the matches bound with these big PPVs much more interesting such as the traditional 5 on 5 tag-team elimination match on Survivor Series which will possibly become a Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown match.It's notable here that WWE has announced that both of their main brands, Raw and SmackDown, will have their own brand-exclusive PPV for 8 months a year excluding the big four PPVs meaning that these stars, who will meet during the inter-promotion feuds, will be separated during the rest of the year.Fans have already started speculating whether this move will create a positive or negative effect on WWE programming as on one hand it will allow inter-brand dream matches to take place such as bouts between Finn Balor vs AJ Styles or Aj Styles vs Seth Rollins, which won't be possible otherwise because they both belong to different brands. On the other hand, inter-promotional feuds also mean that the exclusiveness of both rosters will be affected, making a big part of the whole idea of brand extension irrelevant.
