Amidst the problems being caused by the outbreak of the Coronavirus, RAW will be emanating from the Performance Center this week, much like SmackDown did. It will be the first time that WWE's flagship show will be taking place with no live audience in the crowd.

However, that should not stop the WWE from giving fans a splendid episode of Monday Night RAW. From a big return taking place to backstage details regarding Vince McMahon's opinions on top RAW Superstar, let us take a look at 5 rumors that could have an effect on RAW this week:

#5 Bobby Lashley to feud with Brock Lesnar

The program between Lana, Rusev, and Lashley seems to be dead now. While some sources have stated that the company may revive the angle if Rusev re-signs with WWE. However, SportsKeeda's Tom Colohue has stated that WWE is planning a feud between Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 36.

Lana was absent from RAW last week and it was due to her being away to shoot a movie. However, there is speculation that the duo may be getting split up soon if Lana is not the right person to help build up Lashley for Brock Lesnar.

Tom Colohue stated that the story with Rusev and Lashley is dead, and Lashley's squash match against Zack Ryder on RAW last week was a way to start building him again. There will be more such matches as the company will try to establish Lashley, further building towards a match against Brock Lesnar eventually.

That match is still very much on the cards, but it needs quite a bit of rebuilding. Lashley has moved on. They were already teasing dissension, where Lashley was getting annoyed with his new wife. That seems like the way they will go with this. We'll see going forwards what ends up happening but the plan at this point is to rebuild Lashley, if Lana is not the right person to do that, then she will not be involved in the storyline.

In such a case, it is possible WWE slowly reduce Lana's presence by Lashley's side during his matches.

#4 More details regarding MVP's possible faction

MVP made his return to WWE at the Royal Rumble this year. Even though the former Champion competed in a few matches on RAW, he has now transitioned to a backstage role. Even so, MVP still makes on-screen appearances frequently. On his appearance last week on RAW, The Baller hinted at a possible new faction with him in-charge.

SportsKeeda's Tom Colohue has reported that while MVP is rallying for the company to let him create and manage a new stable, it looks like creative have no such plans as of now.

MVP was originally brought back just to appear at the Royal Rumble. They then decided that 'Well, we'll bring you and give you a match.' So they brought him and gave him a match. Then they decided, 'Well, we'll bring you back and have you talk.' So his role has sort of grown and grown.
At the moment, there are no plans to give him a faction of any sort but he keeps alluding to that himself, and it's something he's pushing for and it's something that could really work.

He further stated that a faction being led by MVP would be a good idea as there are a lot of Superstars who are uncomfortable on the mic. So it is quite possible that we see more of MVP this week on RAW teasing a new faction.

#3 Former Champion suffers a bicep injury

Seth Rollins has truly re-invented himself as the Monday Night Messiah; with an army of goons by his side, the former Universal Champion looks to be unstoppable.

Unfortunately, however, one of those 'goons' has suffered a serious injury and could be out for 6-8 months. Rezar of the AOP suffered a torn bicep during last week's Monday Night RAW.

Seth Rollins, along with Murphy, Rezar, and Akam, has been running roughshod over RAW for the past few weeks, but it looks like Rollins will have to look for a replacement for Rezar if he wants to maintain his faction's dominance on the Red brand.

Here is what WON stated regarding the injury:

Exactly how this affects the AOP on television is to be determined. Surgery usually means six to eight months out. Rehabbing without surgery, which is possible with that injury, would still mean a few months out.

Rezar suffered the injury during last week's 8-man tag-team match during the spot where he had to catch Montez Ford doing a crossbody. In case of a torn bicep, the Superstar will have to be out of action for a couple of months even if he chooses not to undergo surgery.

#2 Nia Jax to return after almost a year

Former RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax has been out of action since WrestleMania 35. But the Superstar is all set to make her comeback right in time for this year's WrestleMania (hoping that the show will go on as planned).

Jax had to undergo surgery for ACL damage in both her knees, but is now cleared to make an in-ring return. Even though certain reports had stated that Nia Jax will be returning on SmackDown instead of RAW, Dave Meltzer of The Observer has put an end to those rumors and suggested that she will indeed return to the Red brand only.

With Jax's return, right around the corner, it is possible that she will make her return this week on RAW itself. Here is what Dave Meltzer has stated:

Nia Jax has been medically cleared to return after reconstructive surgery on both knees. It’s just a question of when they want to start her back and where. Right now she’s earmarked for Raw, and not Smackdown as has been reported in many places

#1 Vince McMahon has not 'given-up' on RAW Superstar

Shayna Baszler has made a major mark for herself ever since she debuted on RAW attacking Becky Lynch. The former NXT Women's Championncame into the limelight after she bit Lynch's neck vampire-style and left The Man bleeding.

The Queen of Spades bulldozed through 5 women at Elimination Chamber earning herself a shot at the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36. Baszler had one of the most impressive outings inside the Elimination Chamber as she eliminated all 5 other competitors by herself.

There were rumors suggesting that Vince McMahon was not happy with Shayna Baszler after her match with Kairi Sane on RAW a few weeks back. However, SportsKeeda's Tom Colohue has stated that such is not the case.

There was a report recently that Shayna Baszler had already soured Vince McMahon on her by producing a match that wasn't met by unanimous applause. To my knowledge, this is not the case. Vince McMahon is still very excited to see what Shayna Baszler can offer on the main roster and I think Elimination Chamber probably proved that point.

So, we can expect The Cagefighter's push to continue this week on RAW as well.
