RAW Preview: Mistake with SummerSlam title rematch revealed, Unexpected star getting a big title push?

Big E has a big task ahead of him on RAW

Welcome to this week's edition of RAW Preview. We're less than three weeks away from Survivor Series 2021, and surprisingly, the build-up to the pay-per-view hasn't officially begun.

Last week, the focus was on finding a new WWE title challenger to Big E, and the main event was a Fatal-Four-Way ladder match between newly-drafted stars to the Red brand.

While there wasn't too much progress on the storyline front, we got to see Queen Zelina make her first appearance following the Queen's Crown victory, and she defeated Doudrop in a rematch. There's a lot to look forward to on RAW this week, so let's get started:

#6. Becky Lynch defends the RAW Women's title in a SummerSlam rematch

The entire status of the Survivor Series Women's Champion vs. Women's Champion match depends on two big matches - one on RAW and one on SmackDown.

On the SmackDown side, Sasha Banks is set for a Women's title match against Charlotte Flair, although the match hasn't officially been announced. What has been announced, however, is the RAW Women's Championship match between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair.

This will be a rematch from SummerSlam 2021 as well as Extreme Rules this year. Instead of the SmackDown Women's title being on the line like the previous occasions, it will be the RAW Women's Championship following the exchange between Lynch and Flair.

This is a tricky one to go around. While Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair is the obvious feud to go with, there seems to be a continuous delay in the build to Survivor Series 2021.

No teams or matches have been announced for the pay-per-view, with no efforts being made to the build-up on either RAW or SmackDown. There are two mistakes being made here - firstly, the delay in the build-up to Survivor Series, and secondly, booking this bout prematurely.

Given that Belair is almost certain not to win the title, having another dusty finish to extend their feud builds less anticipation when it happens post-Survivor Series 2021.

Bianca Belair could be the favorite to lead the RAW Women's team at Survivor Series 2021, but WWE should have started the team recruitments already.

#5. What's next for Damian Priest on RAW?

Damian Priest has been on a roll on RAW, and last week, we got to see a different side of him. Not only did he come out to a new theme song, but a lot of his mannerisms and body language appeared to have changed.

Priest was absent on the Red brand throughout the build-up to Crown Jewel, but he got right back in the mix last week when he faced T-BAR, formerly of RETRIBUTION. Surprisingly, the match went to Damian Priest via disqualification and not a clean pin.

This year, he has pinned several top stars, including Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. But for some reason, that wasn't the case against T-BAR. Given that the latter has now been split from Mace and was drafted to RAW, he could be getting a big singles title push.

When we say title push, we don't necessarily mean that he will be the one to dethrone Damian Priest. But simply that WWE is likely to elevate him to title contender status with a big push on the Monday night show.

#4. Who's next for RK-Bro on RAW?

Last week on RAW, the originally scheduled tag team title match was supposed to see RK-Bro defend against AJ Styles and Omos. This would have been a Crown Jewel and SummerSlam rematch.

The match was quietly removed from the card and Styles, in particular, didn't show up on the episode. Instead, it was Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler who won the No.1 contender's match to get a title shot on the same night.

The Dirty Dawgs lost and RK-Bro retained once again. It was reported following RAW that the reason AJ Styles missed the episode was due to an "unforeseen injury".

For RK-Bro, it seems as though their next big match is going to be at Survivor Series against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos - one that they're likely to lose.

But on the Red brand, Orton and Riddle have a few potential new challengers, as was seen in the No.1 contender's match. But will WWE utilize the tag team division or run back the feud against AJ Styles and Omos?

#3. Keith "Bearcat" Lee to continue his run of destruction on RAW?

It seems as though Keith "Bearcat" Lee has quietly turned heel on RAW, as he has begun a path of destruction. Last week, he manhandled Cedric Alexander to pick up an easy victory.

A lot of things about Lee seem different, including his mannerisms and facial expressions. The last time we saw a path of destruction on RAW, it was by now former-WWE Superstar Braun Strowman. Can Keith Lee replicate Strowman's epic run, or will he be destined for something different?

#2. Who will Austin Theory pick on next?

Austin Theory has made quite the impact upon his return to RAW. Not only has he defeated WWE legend, Jeff Hardy, twice, but he picked up a victory over Dominik Mysterio last week.

The two men are the youngest stars on the Red brand's roster, and they could have had an even better match. But the focus wasn't as much on that as it was building Theory as a singles star.

Will he continue his feud with Dominik Mysterio, or will he pick on somebody else next?

#1. What does Seth Rollins have in store for Big E on RAW?

Last week, Big E opened the new era of RAW, standing tall with the WWE Championship. He was confronted by four men, all of whom were the newest draft picks to the Monday night show.

It was Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio, Kevin Owens, and Finn Balor who came out to make a claim to be Big E's next WWE title challenger. Sonya Deville proceeded to book a Fatal-Four-Way ladder match, shocking Rollins who was right beside her.

Luckily for him, the shock eventually turned to joy as he climbed the ladder, grabbed the contract, and booked his place in Big E's next title defense.

Post-match, Rollins offered to shake the WWE Champion's hand, but there was a lot of tension. From losing to Edge in one of the most incredible matches this year, Seth Rollins instantly made RAW his home again by solidifying his spot as the No.1 contender to the WWE Championship.

What will Rollins have in store for Big E on the Red brand tonight?
