WWE RAW Results: Becky Lynch involved in backstage brawl; Top Champions pinned

RAW kicked off with the weigh-in for the WWE Championship match and Brock Lesnar showed up wearing a bunch of heavy clothing and abig belt buckle. Bobby Lashley came in at 273 lbs while Brock counted 286 lbs on the scale, with the belt buckle and all.

Lashley was annoyed with Lesnar's antics and said that he was acting like a fool because he knew The All Mighty was going to bet him at Royal Rumble. Lesnar mocked him by announcing the Title change but then named the new champ as "Bobby-who?", before walking out.

Zelina Vega vs. Bianca Belair on RAW

Bianca had the early advantage and hit a big kick before Vega countered a big vertical suplex into a DDT.

Zelina was sent into the corner but dodged a tackle before Bianca tried to deadlift her before getting caught in a submission hold.

Belair got back in control and hit two vertical suplexes before Vega got her knees up for the splash. Belair recovered and got the KOD before picking up the win.

Damian Priest (c) vs. Kevin Owens - United States Championship match on RAW

Priest unloaded on Owens as the match began but KO managed to turn it around and get a near fall. Owens dodged a chokeslam before he was sent outside and into the barricades.

KO tried for a senton from the apron but Priest got his knees up before hitting a chokeslam on the apron.

After a break on RAW, Priest got a near fall before taking a DDT from the ropes. Owens got the Frog Splash for a near fall of his own as the match went on.

Priest got angry and unloaded on Owens in the corner before the referee tried to split them up but failed and called for a disqualification.

Result: Kevin Owens def. Damian Priest via DQ

Backstage on RAW, Sonya Deville threatened Damian Priest with suspension or worse if he kept losing his cool in the matches.

Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan & Dana Brooke vs. Carmella, Nikki A.S.H. & Tamina on RAW

Tamina beat up Dana Brooke in the ring as the match started and Ripley was tagged in early.

Rhea took Tamina down with the Northern Lights Suplex and knocked Carmella and Nikki off the apron.

Carmella was next and Rhea locked in the Prism Lock, making her tap out rather quickly.

Result: Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan & Dana Brooke def. Carmella, Nikki A.S.H. & Tamina

Ripley was celebrating after the match and Nikki attacked her from behind before retreating.

Grade: C

The Alpha Academy and RK-Bro were out next and it was time for the 'Academic Challenge'. Gable announced himself and Otis would be joining the Royal Rumble match before the spelling bee commenced.

Otis was up first and passed his challenge before it was time for Riddle, who passed as well. Gable managed to misunderstand disillusion for dissolution and messed up his turn.

Randy was given a hard one as the spelling bee commenced on RAW but managed to pass before Gable lost his cool and snapped at RK-Bro. Randy challenged Gable to a match before we headed for a break.

Randy Orton vs. Chad Gable on RAW

Randy took Gable down early on before Chad tried for the Ankle Lock but failed to lock it in. Gable blocked the RKO and escaped the ring before coming back and taking down Orton, making him flee the ring to regroup.

Outside the ring, Randy dropped Gable on the announcer's desk before Otis tried to interfere but was dropped from the apron. Gable got the Frog Splash off the distraction but failed to get the pin.

After a break on RAW, Orton was setting up for the RKO but Otis wiped out Riddle at ringside, causing Randy to miss his move.

Gable locked in the Ankle Lock before Riddle smacked Otis with his scooter, the distraction causing Chad to lose his grip. Randy finally got the RKO and picked up the win.

Result: Randy Orton def. Chad Gable

After the match, Riddle announced the next round of their academic challenge and it was a scooter race.

Alexa Bliss was still in therapy and recalled the first time she met Lilly as RAW continued.

Austin Theory was backstage on RAW with Vince McMahon and asked the chairman for a late entry into the Royal Rumble. Vince said he had no control over the order before sending him into a match against AJ Styles.

Austin Theory vs. AJ Styles on RAW

Styles tried for some early pins and hit a dropkick and a forearm before Theory got a big Fisherman's Suplex. AJ came back with a Suplex of his own but took the stun gun and was sent into the corner.

AJ took a front face slam before blocking a Superplex but was dropped off the top rope with a dropkick. Theory got a Spinning Backbreaker before missing an elbow drop. AJ got a massive Inverted DDT/neckbreaker combo off a counter in the corner before Theory got a near fall off a rolling neck breaker.

Theory dodged a Styles Clash before breaking out of the Calf Crusher. Theory tried to use the ropes to get the pin but was caught before AJ got the Phenomenal Forearm and picked up the win.

Result: AJ Styles def. Austin Theory

Becky Lynch and Doudrop involved in huge brawl

Becky Lynch and Doudrop were in a split-screen interview on RAW and Lynch said that she was confident and also generous enough to grant the newcomer the title shot.

Doudrop said that Lynch was desperate and chose her because she thought the newcomer would be inexperienced.

Lynch wanted Doudrop to show her gratitude and the newcomer wanted the Champ to show her respect. Becky rambled on before Doudrop walked over to her side of the studio and a brawl broke out between the two.

Rey Mysterio was proud to be on the cover of WWE 2K22 and joked around with Dominik about who would eliminate who at the Rumble.

The Street Profits vs. The Mysterios on RAW

Dominik and Dawkins kicked off the match and the Mysterios ended up at ringside with Ford hitting a massive dive on them. Back after a break, Dominik was caught in a headlock before hitting a big DDT.

Rey and Ford were tagged in before Montez got a big splash for a near fall. The Mysterios set up for the 619 but Dawkins wiped out Dominik before Rey picked up the win in the ring with a roll-up.

Result: The Mysterios def. The Street Profits

After the match on RAW, Dom tried to send Rey Mysterio over the ropes but ended up going out himself. Ford came in and sent Rey outside before Montez sent Ford over the ropes.

The Dirty Dawgs ran in and took out Dawkins but the Profits and Mysterios joined forces and took out the Dirty Dawgs before RAW continued.

Seth Rollins was in an interview on RAW after a recap of his ongoing feud with Roman Reigns. Rollins said that both he and Roman knew that Seth had the upper hand against the Champ. He said that he would be there on SmackDown to meet Roman, the night before their match.

Edge and Beth Phoenix crash The Miz's party for Maryse on RAW

The Miz was out next on RAW to celebrate Maryse's birthday and after a break, the latter joined him in the ring. There was a large number of security guys surrounding the ring as Maryse opened her gifts.

There was a suspiciously large gift box in the ring and Miz had the security open it. It was the brick Maryse used to hit Beth last week and we saw a recap of the situation before Miz made everyone sing happy birthday.

Edge and Beth interrupted the song with their entrance before they wiped out the security outside and in the ring while Miz & Maryse fled. Edge powerbombed a guy into the birthday cake before RAW went off the air.

We got a great go-home episode before Royal Rumble with the weigh-in for the WWE championship match while an interview between Doudrop and Becky Lynch went downhill really fast. RK-Bro picked up a win while AJ Styles took out a confident rookie on tonight's show.
