WWE said no to bumps for Hulk Hogan’s birthday celebration on RAW

According to reports, WWE refused to allow both Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair to take bumps during Hogan’s birthday celebrations on Monday night RAW.

This step came from the back of a Jerry Lawler incident earlier this year where Lawler had collapsed with a heart attack on the announcers table while Kane and Daniel Bryan were competing in a match and also due to the untimely death of the Ultimate Warrior.

It’s going to take a lot of convincing to get Vince McMahon to allow Legends to take bumps.

Meanwhile, it is being said that the purpose behind Hogan’s birthday segment was a two-fold- one was to promote the match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, the other was to get more people to sign up to the WWE Network by utilizing the Hulkster along with several other legends.

Hogan is considered the “face” of the WWE Network.
