WWE signs Boogeyman, Backstage update on Rollins, Reigns and the WWE title, Del Rio - TNA

Boogeyman has signed with WWE

- One of the most memorable gimmicks in the last decade is that of the Boogeyman, who had a short yet entertaining stint on WWE SmackDown in the mid-2000s’. He was involved in feuds with Booker T, JBL and others in this time.

Boogeyman revealed on Twitter yesterday that he had signed a Legends contract with the WWE, adding to the growing list of legends such as ‘Superstar’ Billy Graham and Tatanka in the past one week.

- As we noted yesterday, expect the WWE creative staff to be on overdrive for the next few days, rewriting most of their future storylines right upto Wrestlemania 32, following Rollins vacating the WWE World Heavyweight title.

Reports indicate that the Reigns – Rollins program was meant to main-event the Survivor Series & TLC pay-per-views, with Rollins set to drop the title to Roman, who was set to be the champion heading into Wrestlemania 32.

It remains to be seen how that plan changes, if it does, for Reigns as he is being accepted a lot more by the audience now, than he was at the beginning of this year. As for Rollins, he is set to fly back home to Iowa from the UK, where he is expected to undergo surgery at some point.

- Sources confirm that TNA and Del Rio were in talks to do business together, before he eventually signed up with the WWE where he is the current US champion. Talk is that Del Rio was offered a deal around the $300,000 range, with the added flexibility of working indies and other dates in Mexico.

The deal would have made sense for the Mexican star, considering he was doing a lot more indies after he had left the WWE and was working with Lucha Underground. The TNA schedule is notably more light than the one WWE follows.
