WWE SmackDown Live Results May 30th 2017, Latest SmackDown Live winners and video highlights

SmackDown Live finally got a taste of the power of positivity

The show started off with promos from the 5 women competing for the Number one contendership to the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Kevin Owens’ Highlight Reel

The Highlight Reel unsurprisingly broke into a brawl between 4 of the MITB contenders

The United States Champion opened the show, stating that he was the new host of the highlight reel. He vowed to win the Money In The Bank, and when he hardly got started the crowd began chanting AJ Styles. He said that Chris Jericho never won the MITB even though he claims to have invented it.

He then said he would win the MITB and become the face of WWE too. He called out one of the competitors, Shinsuke Nakamura, who came out to a great reception. Kevin Owens said that he was shrouded in mystery. Owens then reminded him what he did to the last person who claimed to be a rockstar.

After a verbal rant, Nakamura was finally about to speak, but as he did, Baron Corbin came out. He told Nakamura that no one cared about him. After a bit of a rant of his own, Corbin and he had a funny exchange. Nakamura then interrupted them. He told Kevin Owens that the last rockstar who he faced pinned him, referring to the previous week where he pinned Owens.

After a shot at Corbin, the two heels started beating down Nakamura, and Sami Zayn came out for the save. He then said that he wanted to team with Nakamura to take on Corbin & Owens.

Fashion Files – The Men Who Knew Too Little

The Fashion Files returned for yet another entertaining edition

This edition of Fashion Files was focused on Fandango. It shows him as an old school detective, walking into the police department. It shows him meeting Breeze “undercover”. Entertaining as always.

Charlotte Flair vs Becky Lynch vs Tamina vs Carmella vs Natalya – Fatal-5-Way – #1 Contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship

A brawl broke out, leading to a historic announcement

The brawl started even before the bell rang. Becky was outside with Carmella while Tamina and Natalya took care of Charlotte inside the ring. Carmella and Becky even took things to the timekeeper’s area.

Outside the ring, Tamina started clearing the announcer’s desk and took Charlotte, who shoved her into the ring apron and subsequently the post. She then suplexed Charlotte on the floor. Charlotte then went to the ring post and hit her picture perfect Moonsault onto Natalya and Tamina. As she turned around, Carmella jumped on her from the barricade.

Becky then came from behind and hit her with a bex-plex outside. Tamina followed this up with a Superkick on Becky, which led to Charlotte hitting Tamina with a big boot, and finally, Natalya clotheslining Charlotte. Natalya was on the verge of slamming Charlotte onto the announcer’s desk, but Charlotte shoved Nattie into the steel steps. She took Natalya and POWERBOMBED through a table!

The crowd popped with "Yes!" chants after the fallout. Shane McMahon then came out and announced that the 5 competitors would be competing in the first-ever Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match!

Breezango vs The Colons

Breezango looked to get momentum back after two consecutive unsuccessful championship attempts

Tyler Breeze was dressed as a woman, “undercover” like in the Fashion Files. Fandango used a water gun on the Colons. For some weird reason, they weren’t disqualified. After the commercial break, it was The Colons in control of the match.

Tyler Breeze returned to the ringside, dressed as the janitor. He got the hot tag in and cleared the ring. A distraction with Fandango and The Colons fighting over a mop saw Breeze hitting the Unprettier for the win.

AJ Styles was backstage being interviewed by Renee Young. He started talking about momentum and was interrupted by Dolph Ziggler who bragged about being the only one in the upcoming match to have won and cashed in the MITB. He asked if AJ wanted to right then and there, and AJ accepted. However, Dolph said he would see him later in their scheduled match.

Randy Orton addresses the Jinder situation

Randy Orton got a warning from The Maharaja

Randy Orton started talking about his lineage, saying that his grandfather would have smacked him for losing the WWE Championship to Jinder Mahal. He started talking about respect. He vowed to become a 14-time World Champion at Money In The Bank.

As he ended his promo, Jinder Mahal’s music hit. He didn’t show up, but his face was on the titantron. Jinder said that he was like other ignorant Americans, and called him a symbol of the past. The crowd was chanting USA. The Singh Brothers were clapping in the background.

An unfazed Randy Orton posed for the crowd.

AJ Styles vs Dolph Ziggler

AJ Styles was the hometown hero

AJ Styles got a massive pop in his home state of Georgia. The crowd was in favour of Styles, who started strong. Ziggler got his first main offence in when he slid AJ against the ring post. After the commercial break, the two were locked up, the crowd still chanting “AJ Styles”.

Styles teased the Styles Clash but Ziggler countered it into a pin with his foot on the rope, which was spotted by the referee. AJ Styles countered this into the fireman’s carry. Styles even teased a Styles Clash from the top turnbuckle, but Dolph countered it into a brilliant DDT.

The match was total counter-for-counter. The counter-movement led to a calf-crusher, but Dolph pressed his hands on AJ’s face, leading to a zig-zag for a near fall. A Phenomenal Forearm attempt led to Dolph catching him on the rope. Dolph hit the superkick for the win. AJ Styles’ loss continues WWE’s trend of making their hometown heroes lose. Still a very bizarre concept.
