WWE SmackDown has an interesting show lined up for this week

We are all set for WWE SmackDown this week. Tonight’s episode will feature big returns and equally huge announcements.

The blue brand is expected to set the tone for WrestleMania 38, and the show promises crucial developments in the biggest feuds heading towards Elimination Chamber. Top WWE Superstars will look to gain momentum after Royal Rumble.

Here, we look at things that can transpire on SmackDown this week. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

#5 Brock Lesnar returns on WWE SmackDown to confront Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman

Roman Reigns successfully defended his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble by intentionally disqualifying himself from the match. But that was not all that The Tribal Chief had planned for the big show.

Later in the night, he ran a huge interference in Brock Lesnar’s match against Bobby Lashley and caused The Beast Incarnate to lose his WWE Championship.

Fortunately for Lesnar, his night was far from over. He went on to compete in the Royal Rumble match and won the 30-man battle to punch his ticket to WrestleMania. He confirmed on RAW this week that he will challenge Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania this year.

Brock Lesnar will look to make a strong statement by confronting Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman on SmackDown this week.

Heyman betrayed Lesnar in a huge match, and it appears that his brief alignment with the latter was only a long-term plan. He is set to reveal the details on WWE SmackDown tonight.

The Tribal Chief will boast about his successful defense and celebrate his reunion with his Special Counsel. But we expect Brock Lesnar to crash the party on the blue brand tonight.

Paul Heyman’s betrayal coupled with Roman Reigns’ master plan has done a lot to irk The Beast Incarnate. The latter might be in the mood for a brawl to make a big statement on the show. Can we see him destroy the biggest heel in the promotion while confirming his WrestleMania pick on SmackDown tonight?

Unless Lesnar plans on ditching his current gimmick, we might also see an epic war of words between him and his former advocate.

An ambitious Lesnar feels he will face Reigns in a champion vs. champion match at WrestleMania. Thus, he is confident about taking back his title from Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber.

Now that we will see Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar engage in a brutal feud on the road to WrestleMania, will we see the latter make regular appearances on WWE SmackDown? It will be exciting to see how Lesnar gets back at Reigns and Heyman in the coming weeks.

#4 Ronda Rousey arrives on WWE SmackDown to reveal her choice

Ronda Rousey is set to make her debut on WWE SmackDown tonight. The former women’s champion made a huge return at Royal Rumble and won the 30-woman match to earn a guaranteed title opportunity at WrestleMania. Earlier this week on RAW, she confronted Becky Lynch and said she would reveal her choice tonight.

It is worth noting that Rousey eliminated Charlotte Flair to win the Royal Rumble last week. Can we see her go after the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion at WrestleMania?

Both superstars share a long history in the promotion and are bound to deliver an engaging feud. It will be interesting to see if Ronda Rousey will pick The Queen over Big Time Becks as her opponent.

#3 The Usos cross paths with the Viking Raiders on WWE SmackDown

The Viking Raiders recently established defeated major teams to establish themselves as the number one contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

They are expected to be involved in a big showdown with The Usos to hype their upcoming title clash. Later this month, the two teams will battle it out for gold at the Elimination Chamber.

The Usos enjoy an unparalleled dominance on WWE SmackDown as part of The Bloodline. They are not expected to drop their title yet but will face tough competition from The Viking Raiders, former champions.

While it is unlikely that Jey and Jimmy Uso will drop their titles just yet, we hope to see them engage in a balanced feud with Erik and Ivar over the next couple of weeks.

#2 Sami Zayn turns his attention towards Intercontinental Championship on WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown Superstar Sami Zayn is the championship contender for the Intercontinental title. He has been involved in a feud with Johnny Knoxville for the last few weeks, but now he is expected to turn his attention towards Shinsuke Nakamura. It is worth noting that the latter has not defended his title for months.

Zayn would want to get his hands on the Intercontinental Championship, but is he really done with Jackass franchise star? We hope to see him involved in a serious storyline on the blue brand, especially the one that would do justice to Nakamura’s title reign. Will the latter successfully defend his gold in the coming weeks?

#1 What’s next for Drew McIntyre on WWE SmackDown?

One of the biggest returns at Royal Rumble saw Drew McIntyre back inside the ring. He was one of the strongest performers in the match and was the last man standing inside the ring with Brock Lesnar. In the end, Lesnar eliminated McIntyre to win the Royal Rumble, and he is now expected to make up for the big loss.

The Scottish Warrior has openly stated how he wants to enjoy his big WrestleMania moment alongside fans in the live audience. Unfortunately, he was robbed of the opportunity last time, but now, he is determined to take back his moment at all costs.

Could we see Drew McIntyre make his way into the Universal Championship picture on the road to WrestleMania.
