Becky Lynch was out for an interview with Renee Young in the opening segment. Becky talked about how it ultimately boils down to how badly she wanted it. She put the facts as brutally straight as possible, revealing that she hasn't been champ since December 2016 and hasn't even gotten a title opportunity since WrestleMania 33.

Carmella's music hit and the SmackDown Women's Champion was out to address Becky Lynch. The crowd greeted Carmella with chants of "you suck". Carmella wished her good luck, but Becky Lynch didn't buy it. James Ellsworth's music played and the champ blindsided Becky Lynch, taking a steel chair from underneath. Charlotte Flair came to the rescue and drove the champion out of the ring.

Paige wasn't happy for Carmella for building the women up only to blindside Lynch. She said that champions have the odds stacked against them to overcome. Carmella took a shot at Paige saying she'll never be a champ again. To teach her a lesson to be a "real champion", she put her in a match against Charlotte Flair later and if Charlotte wins, the title match will be a Triple Threat at SummerSlam!
#1 The Bar vs. The Usos - No.1 Contenders Tag Team Tournament
The New Day were ringside for the second tournament match for the SmackDown Tag team Championships. The Bar were on top when we come back from the break and Sheamus and Cesaro traded tags and dished out punishment on the Usos.
Cesaro went for a Sear in the corner on Jey Uso who sidestepped him. Both men made tags and Jimmy Uso came in and got a near fall off of Cesaro. Jimmy looked like he had the upper hand on Cesaro and Sheamus shoved his partner out of the way of a suicide dive.
Jimmy went up the ropes but was dropped straight onto the barricades. Sheamus got rolled up for a near fall before taking a Superkick. Jey Uso then hit the Frog Slash but Cesaro broke up the count.
The Usos went for the double Frog Splash but Cesaro came in with a nasty uppercut as Sheamus caught the other Uso with his knees before rolling him up for the 3-count. The Bar will be going to the finals.

#2 Samoa Joe sends a message to AJ Styles
Samoa Joe was out to address AJ Styles next. Joe said he respects Styles but AJ doesn't spend enough time with his family because he's always trying to be the best. Joe added that AJ was a failure as a husband and father and after what he does to AJ at SummerSlam, his wife and kids will finally get him back.
#3 Jeff Hardy confronts Randy Orton
Jeff Hardy came to the ring and called out The Viper, Randy Orton. While Oton was making his entrance, Nakamura attacked Jeff from the back and hit him with a Kinshasa. Orton and Nakamura had a staredown before Shinsuke left for backstage. Randy hit an RKO and then hit a DDT to the outside with Hardy's feet on the apron. Orton put Hardy on the announcer's table and put water on his face, wiping away Hardy's face paint before walking out.
#4 Lana vs. Zelina Vega
Vega seemed overconfident as the match began, posing in the middle of the ring for Lana. Lana took Vega down and the latter rolled out of the ring. Vega took Lana down by the hair before hitting a neckbreaker. Lana felt the momentum and follows it a knee to the back of the head for a near fall. Lana headed to the top rope and Almas tried to distract Lana. Aiden English came out to help Lana and pulled Almas off the apron as Vega rolled up Lana in the middle of the confusion for the win.

Backstage, Aiden found Lana and wanted to apologise and asked if she was okay. Lana didn't want to be bothered and Rusev came yelling for English as Aiden fled. Lana said she could have really used Rusev's help in the match before the camera cut to Daniel Bryan in the ring.
#5 Daniel Bryan gets an 'infantile' response from The Miz
Daniel recapped last week's attack on him by the Miz. He said the Miz taunted him for two years thinking he would never be cleared to wrestle. He said Miz brought his wife and presumably his baby daughter to make sure Daniel didn't fight him straight up. Bryan asked Miz to face him if he thinks he can. Miz came up on the titantron and said he was on set for his tv show. Bryan called Miz a coward and the crowd agreed.
Daniel added that Miz will never be the Rock, not even John Cena before asking him for a match at SummerSlam. Miz said Bryan should stop riding his coattails and that everyone is annoyed with him. He even called Bryan a crying baby by showing a montage of multiple crying babies on the screen and saying that that's what everyone sees when they look at Daniel Bryan.
#6 Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella
Charlotte went for an early pin but Carmella kicked out with ease. The match went outside and Carmella threw Charlotte at the barricades before we cut for commercials. Charlotte hit some heavy shops as we returned and hit a suplex on Carmella. Charlotte's moonsault was met with Carmella's feet and the champ sent Charlotte out of the ring trying to go for a count out victory.
'Mella joined Charlotte outside and sent her into the barricades and then into the timekeeper's area. Charlotte beat the count and 'Mella went for a pin but it was a two count. Carmella had Charlotte in a chokehold and Becky Lynch was seen backstage watching the match on a tv from the usual awkward angle.
Carmella hit a big kick and Charlotte hit her own to the face of 'Mella for a near fall. Charlotte missed the Figure Four and the match spilt outside. Charlotte hit a moonsault from the barricades and hit the Natural Selection but it was again a near-fall. Charlotte's spear was met with a kick and 'Mella got out of the following Figure Four. The champ hit another big kick and another near fall. Charlotte recovered and connected with the figure four and grabbed the victory via submission. Charlotte Flair will be joining Carmella and Becky Lynch in a triple threat title match at SummerSlam
