What a touching tribute to The Deadman
What a touching tribute to The Deadman

WWE SmackDown kicked off with a video package celebrating The Undertaker's life and career before we saw the SmackDown Superstars out in the arena chanting "Thank you, Taker". We cut to a snippet of Taker's first WWE appearance before we headed for commercials.

Back on SmackDown, we got a full recap of the Undertaker's last appearance with AJ Styles, the Boneyard match, peppered with short interviews from Roman Reigns, John Cena, Edge, Bet Hart, Kane, Ric Flair, and others about the Deadman.

The OC was a part of the match but are no longer in WWE. This is probably the last appearance of them on WWE television.

We returned to the SmackDown ring where King Corbin was talking smack about how Vince gave Taker special treatment and had been holding stars like himself back in the process. Corbin said he didn't want to thank Taker and said that he sucked before Jeff Hardy came out and whacked him from behind.

We got a short interview from Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin on their thoughts about the Deadman.

Backstage, Hardy said that he challenged Corbin to a match in tonight's main event.

Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki Cross vs. Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans - Fatal 4-Way Match to decide the No. 1 Contender for the SmackDown Women's title

Alexa and Nikki started off facing Dana and Lacey but when the two were sent out of the ring, Cross turned on her teammate Alexa and tried to pin her.

Lacey and Brooke returned to the ring before Lacey was in control and Brooke went up top for a senton but Nikki broke the following pin.

Alexa Bliss went up top and went for the Twisted Bliss but Brooke moved away at the last second, sending her crashing to the mat.

After we returned to SmackDown, Triple H and HBK Shawn Michaels gave their thoughts on the Undertaker.

Backstage, a brawl was breaking out between the four tag teams that were set to face each other next.

New Day & Lucha House Party vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro, Miz & Morrison

Big E squashed The Miz on the apron with a big splash early on, getting a two-count. Metalik dropped Nakamura with a bulldog and tagged in Kofi Kingston. Morrison was in next and hit Kingston with a nasty kick, sending him to the floor.

Backstage on SmackDown, Baron Corbin said Jeff Hardy should follow The Undertaker and retire. He continued to mock The Deadman and Hardy.

Braun Strowman was in the SmackDown ring and spoke about Bray Wyatt and his 'disgusting swamp' where Bray was bitten by a snake and "all he did was laugh".

Braun challenged Bray to a match in the "swamp" where he threatened to feed Bray to the alligators. We heard Bray's eerie laugh and Braun forced a laugh as well before the cameras cut out and we went to commercials on SmackDown.

Batista and Mick Foley showed up on SmackDown for a few words about Taker.

Jeff Hardy vs. King Corbin

Hardy was taken out right out of the gate as Corbin came in swinging. Hardy sent Corbin into the announcer's table as the action spilled outside and kept the pressure on as the match went back to the ring.

We returned to SmackDown to see a lot of Superstars were at ringside to support Jeff as Corbin was dominating the match. Corbin got a few near falls and locked in a submission move before Jeff fought back with a jawbreaker and then the Inverted Atomic drop.

Hardy hit the Swanton Bomb and picked up the win as the roster celebrated with him.

Result: Jeff Hardy def. King Corbin

Corbin attacked Jeff after the match but The New Day came in and took him out. They called for Braun Strowman who hit the Running Powerslam and then Matt Riddle who hit the Floating Bro. A great finish to pay tribute to the Deadman!
