WWE: Superstar ratings from 13th May RAW

This past week’s episode of Monday Night RAW left quite a few fans irate, because of the way the whole show was booked. Stretching RAW for 3 hours has not only made the product redundant, but the constant plugging of WWE app has taken away whatever interest the fans have in the episode. The show came out very sloppy, and the storylines have become nonsensical. Anyway, the show opened with a dance off between Fandango and Jericho, where Fandango attacked Chris. The segment went for 20 minutes, and because of the nature of the segment, I won’t allot ratings for either superstars.

Ryback

Can someone please get Ryback a manager? The guy is in desperate need of a mouth piece, and someone like Vickie Guerrero would be ideal as his manager. Ryback is very sloppy on the mic, and this week, he defeated Zack Ryder in a squash match. Ryback had a role to play after Cena’s tag team match when he attacked Cena with a steel chair to gain the psychological advantage, leading to the Extreme Rules PPV. Ryback comes off well when he doesn’t speak, so that was the good thing during his performance this week.

Zack Ryder

Did someone say Ryder Revolution? I didn’t think so. Ryder is once again your basic jobber. His Cinderella story has come to a sad end.

Prime Time Players (Titus O’Neil and Darren Young)

PTP are arguably the most entertaining tag team in the division, and this week, they picked up an upset win against the Tons of Funk. Nothing major, but I hope they get a shot at the WWE Tag team titles soon.

Tons of Funk (Brodus Clay and Sweet T)

Nothing to say about them except the fact that they lost a relatively short match.

Kofi Kingston

The US champ faced Damien Sandow in yet another short match and defeated the intellectual saviour. I for my wits cannot figure out why Kofi is the US Champion, and why Sandow keeps losing all his televised matches. Another example of WWE’s booking.

Damien Sandow

I feel sorry for Sandow and Cody Rhodes. Both of these men are talented and entertaining, and yet can’t find a sensible storyline. The failure of creative shows when two talented individuals have nothing interesting going on with them.

Randy Orton

Another good pop for Randy, and it’s about time the WWE pulls the trigger on an Orton heel turn. This week, we saw a rematch from Main Event when Orton took on Cesaro, and picked up the victory. No surprises there.

Antonio Cesaro

This performer is probably the worst booked character in the WWE, and reports suggest that he is considered ‘boring’ by the powers that be. He has been the outstanding performer for over half a year, and they come to a conclusion that he’s boring? Is Steve Lombardi a part of the creative?

The Miz

Coming fresh off Marine 3, Miz took on Heath Slater this week and picked up the victory. Nothing much to say here. It was just another squash match.

The leader of the 3MB lost (surprisingly!) to the Miz this week on RAW. Well, at least he was on the card.

John Cena

Cena was involved in a 6-man elimination tag match, as he teamed up with Team Hell No and took on The Shield. Not surprisingly, the ‘Superman’ of the WWE almost defeated The Shield single handedly before they attacked him and delivered the triple power bomb on Cena. The match went for 24 minutes, which got more time than rest of the matches combined! Post match, Cena’s injured leg took a beating from Ryback, as he lashed at Cena’s leg with a chair and that was all she wrote for the champion this week.

Team Hell No

The tag-team champions were made to look very weak this past Monday as both of them were eliminated by The Shield. I could write 10,000 words about what’s wrong with WWE and it still won’t change a thing.

The Shield

The Shield suffered their first official loss as a team this week on Monday. Why was it done? No one knows, but that has got to be the worst booking this year. They looked way out of Cena’s league as Cena almost eliminated all the three members single handedly.

Jack Swagger

Swagger will be involved in an “I Quit” match for the #1 contender sport for the World Heavyweight championship at Extreme Rules. This week, he faced Big E Langston and won the match via count out.

Big E Langston

Big E took on Swagger in a short match. Nothing much to say other than that.

AJ Lee

AJ took on Natalya, as the daughter of ‘The Anvil’ tapped out to AJ’s new submission which looked painful. I’m happy Natalya at least had a match.

My favourite Diva finally had a match on RAW, which to no one’s surprise was for a losing cause. Hey, at least we know she’s still employed by the WWE.

Triple H

The main segment of the show saw Triple H challenging Lesnar for a fight inside the steel cage. Triple H quickly disposed off Lesnar by throwing him outside, and stood tall to end the show. Nothing major here, but it was a good way to drive the point home before the PPV.

Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman

Lesnar came down to the ring accompanied by Heyman, and although he seemed to have the upper hand, Triple H threw him outside, as Lesnar backed up the ramp along with his manager to end the show.
