WWE WrestleMania 33 News: Triple H sets a new record

Triple H took his twelfth loss at WrestleMania

What’s the story?

After counting the lights at WrestleMania 33, Triple H is now the owner of a new WrestleMania record; he has now lost more matches at The Show of Shows than any other performer in WWE history.

In case you didn’t know...

Despite his reputation in the internet wrestling community, Triple H has been rather generous at WrestleMania. Prior to his match against Seth Rollins, the Game had lost 11 times at the Showcase of the Immortals. Heading into the thirty-third edition of WWE’s signature event, he was tied with Shawn Michaels for the most losses at professional wrestling’s biggest event.

The heart of the matter

After a heated build-up, Triple H faced Seth Rollins in an unsanctioned match that was almost two years in the making. Both men pulled out all the stops, as is customary at WrestleMania, to put on a respectable match.

As expected, Seth Rollins handed Triple H his twelfth WrestleMania loss, via pinfall.

What’s next?

This might not be the end of the rivalry between Seth Rollins and The Authority. According to whispers on the internet, The Architect is expected to start a feud with Samoa Joe, who has been an ally of the powers that be.

There has also been talk that Triple H could form a stable with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. If this were to happen, Seth Rollins would almost certainly be one of their first adversaries.

Author’s take

While Triple H’s reputation isn’t exactly unwarranted, he has given back to the business on several occasions. As evidenced by his losses to Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, the Game will do the honours for a Superstar that he believes in.
