Former NXT Champion Malakai Black is set to return to singles action against his former rival nearly seven years after they wrestled in WWE. The match has been announced for Dynamite next Wednesday. The star who he will face is Kyle O'Reilly.

Kyle squared off against Black on the August 2, 2017, episode of NXT. The two are currently signed with AEW but have yet to wrestle a singles match against each other. O'Reilly recently involved himself in the ongoing feud between The House of Black and Adam Copeland.

Kyle came out to save The Rated-R Superstar on multiple occasions. As a result, a match between O'Reilly and Malakai Black has been made official for next week's Dynamite. The match was announced after O'Reilly defeated Lee Moriarty on the most recent episode of Rampage.

This will be Malakai's first singles match after nearly two months. Moreover, Adam Copeland (fka Edge) had challenged the House of Black leader to a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match at Double or Nothing for the AEW TNT Championship.

It remains to be seen who will come out victorious at the pay-per-view on May 26.
