Friday, May 17, 2024 saw Crunchyroll officially confirm the My Hero Academia season 7 English dub release date, cast list and staff in an exciting announcement. The dubbed version of the seventh season of the television anime adaptation of author and illustrator Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga series of the same name will begin streaming on Saturday, May 18.

As is typical of other English dubs produced by Crunchyroll, the My Hero Academia season 7 English dub release date puts the dub version at a pace of two episodes behind the original Japanese audio.

In other words, each new episode of the season which airs will be made available in an English dubbed format two weeks later.

My Hero Academia season 7 English dub adds new cast members to production

New cast members for the My Hero Academia season 7 English dub include Natalie Van Sistine as Star and Stripe, Kyle Hebert as Agpar, William Ofoegbu as Ethan, Aiden Call as Biggs and Sean Letourneau as Wedge.

Additional new voices for the dub include Tyson Rinheart and Wyatt Baker. The rest of the cast for the English dub version of the seventh season will reprise their roles from earlier seasons.

Mike McFarland is directing the dub, with Zach Bolton producing and Jeremy Kraatz adapting the script. Gino Palencia is the mixer, August Cline is the engineer, and Nita Lieu is the translator.

This is expected to be the full staff list for the dub’s production, as other key roles are already filled out by the original Japanese staff for the anime series, with no change in these roles in the dub transition.

My Hero Academia season 7 was officially announced after the conclusion of the sixth season in March 2023. It was announced before the seventh season’s airing that a four-episode special, entitled My Hero Academia Memories, will air each Saturday starting on April 6 as a lead-in to the seventh season’s premiere.

The special serves as a recap compilation with some new added scenes that offer more context to events fans will see unfolding in the seventh season.

The anime is once again airing on Japanese broadcast television via the YTV and NTV channels every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Japanese Standard Time. This translates to a 4:30 a.m. EDT release time, but the episode’s premiere on Crunchyroll is typically delayed by roughly one hour, but the exact time can vary on a weekly basis.

Apart from the seventh season, the franchise also has its fourth film premiering on August 2, 2024. Entitled You’re Next, Horikoshi serves as the film’s general supervisor and original character designer. The film has an original story that takes place around the same time as where the television anime currently is, highlighting the collapse of safe society.

Horikoshi’s original manga series premiered in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014, where it is still ongoing and in its final arc as of this article’s writing. The series is expected to fully conclude within the 2024 calendar year, marking a roughly 10-year run.
