Real Madrid have reportedly shortlisted Liverpool's Alexis Mac Allister to strengthen their midfield next year. The Argentinian has been at Anfield since last summer.

Mac Allister, 25, arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2023 from Brighton & Hove Albion and has been a key player for Jurgen Klopp's side this season. In 45 appearances across competitions - starting 39 times - the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner has contributed six goals and seven assists.

Most of those goal contributions - four goals and five assists in 32 games - have come in the Premier League, where the Reds are poised to finish third, with a game to go.

Despite being contracted to Anfield till 2028, Mac Allister is the subject of interest from Los Blancos, as per ESPN Argentina (via Madrid Universal). The La Liga champions are planning to replace their legendary midfield pair of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Both veterans are reportedly close to agreeing one-year extensions to their current deals, which expire at the end of the ongoing campaign. The aforementioned report says that Mac Allister is valued at €70 million.
