All Minecraft anniversary capes ranked

To celebrate Minecraft's 15th anniversary in 2024, Mojang Studios released three new free capes that players can claim. These capes are one of many new in-game gifts the developers are offering to the player base to celebrate 15 years of their sandbox game. One of the free capes was solely made by the Minecraft team, while the other two were made in collaboration with Twitch and TikTok.

3) Twitch cape

The special Minecraft Twitch cape comes in third place. This cape can be easily obtained by watching any Minecraft Twitch streamer with drops enabled for at least 15 minutes. The cape can be redeemed anytime between May 15 and 30. Players will receive a redemption code that can be entered on the redemption page on the game's website.

Although the overall design and colors of the Twitch cape pop out well in the game, the design is not particularly related to Minecraft. The heart looks like the one from the game's health bar, but the purple theme is more of a reference to Twitch. Furthermore, the heart on the cape essentially cracks into two whenever players fly around with Elytra.

2) TikTok cape

Mojang Studios also collaborated with TikTok to make a special cape for the community for Minecraft's 15th anniversary. This cape can be obtained through the TikTok mobile app. Users can search for any Minecraft livestreamer that has drops enabled. As soon as you type 'Minecraft' in the chat, you will receive a redemption code for the cape.

The Minecraft TikTok cape's design is quite interesting since it prominently features cyan and magenta, which are part of the TikTok logo. Furthermore, it has a completely black background with a white creeper face. Since the cape design depicts the most iconic mob, it fits well with the game's 15th anniversary celebrations.

When combined with Elytra, the creeper face goes away completely, leaving nothing but cyan and magenta-colored thunderbolt lines.

The Minecraft Creeper cape was the last one released by Mojang Studios. This was exclusively made by the game company to celebrate Minecraft's 15th anniversary. The cape can be obtained by any player who logs in to the game's official website and claims it from the rewards page. This cape is arguably the most iconic free one given out by Mojang Studios, particularly because it showcases the classic green background and creeper face.

The creeper mob is the most famous creature in the entire game and is recognized even outside Minecraft's community. Although the Swedish developers have gifted other creeper-themed capes previously, this is the first green one, and this is special because it is the original color of the creature.
