Alexander Zverev won his sixth Masters 1000 title

The Italian Open 2024 came to an end, with third seed Alexander Zverev winning the men's singles event after a 6-4, 7-5 win over 21st seed Nicolas Jarry in the final. The total prize pool for the men's competitions is €7,877,020.

The German started well and won the opening set 6-4. Jarry fought hard in the second set and saved a few championship fights, but Zverev was not to be denied as he eventually broke the Chilean in the final game to register a 6-4, 7-5 win.

Zverev's victory saw him win his second title in Rome and sixth Masters 1000 triumph. It was also his first title of the 2024 season.

The German's exploits at the Italian Open will fetch him a prize money of €963,225, while Jarry's maiden runner-up at a Masters 1000 event will see him earn €512,260. The 29th seed Alejandro Tabilo and 14th seed Tommy Paul were ousted in the semifinals in Rome and will each be paid €284,590.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Hubert Hurkacz were among the four players who were knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Italian Open, with each to pocket €161,995. The players who were eliminated in the fourth round will each receive €88,440.

Top seed Novak Djokovic and the 15 other players who exited Rome in the third round will each pocket €51,665, while the players who were out in the second round will each receive €30,255. The ones who were ousted in the opening round will each be paid €20,360.

Top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos won the men's doubles title at the Italian Open after beating Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic 6-2, 6-2. It was the pair's first title of the 2024 season after losing in three finals.

The pair from Spain and Argentina will be paid €391,680 for their triumphant run in Rome, while Arevalo and Pavic will pocket €207,360. The teams who were eliminated in the semifinals will each be paid €111,360, while those who were ousted in the quarterfinals will each receive €55,690.

The men's doubles pairs who were knocked out in the second round of the Italian Open will each pocket €29,860, while the teams who bowed out in the opening round will each receive €16,320.
