Where will Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's rival Femke Bol race next? Everything about the dutch athlete's next outdoor season race

World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2024 - Day Three
All you need to know about the next tournament of Femke Bol

Femke Bol and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone have been two of the standout performers when it comes to the Women's 400m Hurdles event. Moreover, with McLaughlin-Levrone recently clarifying her plans to return to the Women's 400m Hurdles event at the Olympic trials as well as in Paris, it has spiced things up for the proceedings of the hurdles in the upcoming tournaments.

However, there's a huge contrast in recent form between these top two women athletes. On one hand is McLaughlin-Levrone who hasn't featured in a hurdles race in the last twelve months whereas, on the other hand, Bol hasn't done anything wrong when it comes to the 400m hurdles in the last few years.

Bol too is yet to run a hurdles race in this 2024 season. She will be seen at the Stockholm Diamond League meet scheduled on June 2, 2024, at the Bauhaus Galan during which she will be running her first hurdles race of this season. Even though this will be her first hurdles event, Femke Bol has shown some good form and momentum at the flat races event during the Indoor World Athletics Championships concluded earlier this year in March.

Thus, she will be looking to carry forward this momentum to her outdoor meet in Stockholm, where she is also aiming to win her fourth Diamond League meet of her career.

Following the Diamond League meet in Stockholm, Bol will be seen at the European Championships in Rome scheduled between June 6 and 12, during which the Amersfoort native will be looking to defend her title in the Women's 400m Hurdles event.

However, the 24-year-old has already stated that she will not be defending the Women's 400m flat title in Rome to manage her workload just before the 2024 Paris Olympics. In an interview with European Athletics News, Femke Bol said:

"I won’t do a double of 400m and 400m hurdles because that is too much right now."

Femke Bol has made a name for herself in the Women's 400m Hurdles event with an Olympic gold and a World Championships gold medal. However, the Amersfoort native has also been a top athlete to watch out for when it comes to the Women's 400m flat.

Bol's most staggering performance in the Women's 400m came at the World Indoor Athletics Championship 2024. The 24-year-old clinched a gold medal in the event registering her personal record run time of 49.17 seconds in the flat races event.

Her fellow countryman, Lieke Klever, finished in the second position while Alexis Holmes bagged the bronze medal.
