DeWanna Bonner and the Connecticut Sun face the Washington Mystics in their second game of the 2024 WNBA season. After demolishing the Indiana Fever in the season opener, the Sun will look to keep their momentum, and they came dressed for the occasion.

The Sun's official Instagram account shared pictures of their players wearing luxurious outfits ahead of their second game of the campaign. DeWanna Bonner picked a black suit, while Alyssa Thomas chose a more casual outfit.

WNBA teams are well aware of social media's impact on current and potential fans. Yesterday, the Indiana Fever shared a video of Erica Wheeler arriving at the arena in a three-wheeled vehicle that cost over $34,000. The footage caught the eyes of many fans.

DeWanna Bonner and Alyssa Thomas ready to get the Sun the second win of the season

The Connecticut Sun had no issue dismantling Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in the season opener. They recorded a 92-71 win at home, with DeWanna Bonner leading the way with 20 points.

Alyssa Thomas posted a triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. DiJonai Carrington and Tyasha Harris dropped 16 points apiece to round up a notable performance by the Suns.

They're going against the Mystics, a rebuilding team that may have the same fate as the Fever in the prior game.

The Capital team faced a tough rival in the season opener, the New York Liberty. Although they put on a good fight, it wasn't enough against Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, losing 85-80 at home.

Connecticut Sun vs Indiana Fever matchup made WNBA history

The Sun are one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the WNBA. They made WNBA history, although the reason behind that was Caitlin Clark making her debut in the league.

Either way, 2.12 million spectators tuned in for the Sun's 92-71 win on Tuesday, marking the most-watched WNBA game in 23 years. Many fans hoped to see the former Iowa Hawkeyes star taking over the game, but the opponents dominated.
