4 Reasons why an all-women WWE Premium Live Event must return in 2024: Stacked roster, cross-brand promotion & more

WWE introduced the first-ever Evolution event in 2018. The card featured female matches instead of a mix of men's and women's contests. The show was an extension of the women's evolution in wrestling and featured bouts with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey, and the Bella Twins.

Having a card consisting of only women's matches championed the idea that times had changed in the industry. That was almost six years ago, and WWE has yet to run a second Evolution event.

In that time, the company's divisions have grown in size, talent, and scope. WWE Women's Champion Bayley recently expressed her wishes for a second all-women Premium Live Event.

WWE should take advantage and book another Evolution event in 2024 for the next four reasons.

#4. It would allow some lesser-used stars a chance to get on the card

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are former NXT Women's Tag Team Champs.

Names like Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley will always be in storylines on TV. They are the top females in the company and have earned their spots.

Other stars, however, aren't as lucky as those mentioned above. Stars like Natalya, Michin, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, and Tegan Nox appear sporadically or not at all. Fyre and Dawn were drafted last year only to lose the NXT Women's Tag Team titles.

By booking another all-women event like Evolution, the lesser-used stars can finally get a meaningful spot on a Premium Live event. It might be their only shot in the year, and one could even steal the show with a great performance.

#3. NXT stars could be involved

Much of WWE's growth has to do with NXT. What was once the company's developmental brand has become a third brand. The match quality was better before the NXT 2.0 reboot, but the talent is still there.

With a show featuring only women, NXT could be represented on the card. Stars from the brand could be involved in a battle royal and the two singles titles could be defended.

It would get some unknown faces in front of main-roster crowds so that they know the performers when they are promoted. It helped Lyra Valkyria, Tiffany Stratton, and Roxanne Perez when they had brief appearances on RAW or SmackDown.

#2. There are enough WWE events for one to be replaced

Bayley and Bianca Belair once battled each other at Extreme Rules.

Six Premium Live Events are currently booked for the main roster through August, culminating with the Bash in Berlin. That leaves four additional months for events, providing more than enough time for the second Evolution show.

Last year, WWE had Payback in September and Fastlane in October. It's also had the TLC, Hell in a Cell, and Extreme Rules events over the last few years. The simple fact is that some of these shows are not necessary and integral to WWE.

Extreme Rules and TLC are redundant, while Payback and Fastlane are nowhere near the level of importance of Money in the Bank or the Elimination Chamber. With four months to plan around, booking a second all-women event should be easy to accomplish.

#1. WWE is overloaded with talent

The most sensible reason for booking a second Evolution PLE is that the rosters are extremely stacked. RAW and SmackDown have more depth than ever, thanks to how Triple H has rebuilt the rosters over the last two years.

With such a deep and diverse roster, booking matches for the show would be easy. Every championship would be defended, including those from NXT. WWE could bring back the Fight Pit or NXT Underground match due to having several women with MMA backgrounds.

Booking a battle royal would also be sensible, and the winner could earn a future title shot. A specialty show for women would benefit the performers who aren't used or used sporadically. Legends could also be brought back.
