4 reasons why The Judgment Day should break up: Different trajectories, a new rising force & more

The two top factions in WWE over the last three years have been The Judgment Day and The Bloodline. The Samoan faction's time atop the company has been dwindling since Roman Reigns lost at WrestleMania 40 and went on a hiatus.

Solo Sikoa is building the group in his image, but it's all for a possible eventual feud with the original version of the faction. As for The Judgment Day, things could be heading in the same direction in the next few months. Rhea Ripley - the de facto leader of the group - is out with an injury.

Miscommunication has plagued the group recently, as have other factors. The Judgment Day should finally break up for the next four reasons.

#4. Damian Priest has said he doesn't need The Judgment Day

Despite the group claiming not to have a leader, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest usually have the final say in matters. Priest has also been the main dissenting voice when potential recruits have been brought to the clubhouse.

When he won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL, his confidence grew. The Archer of Infamy was angry each time someone interfered in his business. That was even more apparent when he stopped Finn Balor and JD McDonagh from further battering Jey Uso at Backlash France.

If there's one member who doesn't need to lean on others, it's Priest. The fact that he's said he doesn't need the rest of The Judgment Day means that he's thought about the day the group disbands.

#3. Rhea Ripley is already over on her own

While Priest and Ripley may be the top dogs in The Judgment Day, Ripley is the faction's most popular member. Even though she's a heel, the fans routinely cheer loudly for her during matches and segments.

When Liv Morgan attacked her in retribution for Ripley injuring her last year, the crowd actually booed. They did so again when Morgan explained that she wasn't the bad guy in the situation (which was true). Despite that, the former SmackDown Women's Champion has continued her heel turn.

The fact that Ripley is cheered as a heel speaks to her star power. Fans will cheer for her no matter what, which usually means the performer is set for their career. Mami can operate by herself as she doesn't need the Judgment Day.

#2. A breakup would force Dominik to fend for himself

Dominik has needed the group more than the group has needed Dominik.
Dominik has needed the group more than the group has needed Dominik.

Dominik Mysterio is The Judgment Day member who has benefitted the most from the group. He's been able to leech off the faction to fight his personal battles, mostly against Rey Mysterio and the LWO.

He plays the lackey part well but some members, notably Damian Priest, must be tired of his constant need to bring his 'allies' before the group. The World Heavyweight Champion has balked at every potential addition.

Factor in that Mysterio has lost in many of his big spots and the rest of the group cannot be happy with his performance. Breaking up the faction would finally force Dominik to find out who he is by himself. He's been in a partnership of some fashion since his debut, so it's time for him to branch out.

#1. It would open things up for another heel faction to rise

One group's fall could lead to the rise of another.
One group's fall could lead to the rise of another.

The Bloodline recently underwent some renovations. The Judgment Day, however, has been at odds in some way for more than a year. They've worked through their issues but find themselves at a crossroads.

Do they remain together despite differing opinions? Will someone make that decision like Seth Rollins and The Shield?

Breaking up The Judgment Day will allow a new faction to take the top spot on RAW. Despite more losses than wins, The Final Testament has succeeded in its efforts to corrupt other stars (Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Mysterio).

Kross needs a serious push and claiming the top spot on RAW would increase his standing. He alluded to a potential split by referencing his history with Finn Balor. If The Final Testament doesn't ascend, then the rumored Wyatt 6 could eventually assume that spot atop RAW.
