The Undertaker was a mainstay in WWE for the better part of 30 years. He had a number of classic encounters with a number of superstars, including current AEW star Jeff Hardy. For the Charismatic Enigma, his singles match against the Deadman was his favorite singles match.

Jeff Hardy recently joined AEW as he made the save for Matt Hardy, who was getting beaten down by Andrade El Idolo, the Butcher, the Blade and Private Party. The Undertaker has retired from in-ring action as WWE announced that The Phenom will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

The Undertaker, despite his incredible career, was not really known for his ladder matches. However, on an episode of RAW in 2002, he faced off against a young Jeff Hardy in a ladder match for the Undisputed World Championship. It was an excellent match which lasted just under 15 minutes and saw the Lord of Darkness retain his title, but it once again showed the world just how good Jeff Hardy was and would end up becoming.

When asked at a recent Signed By Superstars virtual meet and greet what his favorite singles match of all time was, Jeff Hardy stated it was the match against the multi-time world champion.

“Probably all TLC matches,” Hardy said. “Solo wise, myself versus The Undertaker for the World Title.” (h/t: WrestlingInc)

The duo did face off in another ladder match six years later, on an episode of SmackDown. This time it was Jeff Hardy who came out on top.

The Undertaker has faced a number of AEW stars in WWE

The WWE legend has faced a number of AEW stars in singles matches during his time in WWE. The Deadman and CM Punk feuded numerous times, including their blockbuster feud for WrestleMania 29.

The Phenom also faced Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy in multiple singles matches. Mark Henry had the honor of facing the Demon of Death Valley at WrestleMania 22 while Paul Wight faced him 13 times in singles action on live television.
