New details have reportedly come to light regarding Bryan Danielson's AEW contract. This comes after Danielson had indicated that this may be his last year as an active competitor in the ring.

After suffering a near career-ending neck injury during his time in WWE, Bryan Danielson made an incredible comeback in the ring and found himself in the main event scenario once again. However, he decided to leave WWE and join All Elite Elite Wrestling a few years ago.

Since then, there has been no looking back for the American Dragon. He has been involved in some of the biggest feuds in the company and put on some stellar performances with the likes of Eddie Kingston and Will Ospreay.

Last year, Danielson made a shocking announcement that it was going to be his final year as an active wrestler. Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that the 42-year-old is set to leave AEW on October 12 even though his contract expires before that.

Bryan Danielson wants to face Nigel McGuinness at All In

Both Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness made a name for themselves in Ring of Honor. During their time in ROH, they had numerous matches against each other and were known for their physicality.

Their last bout against each other took place in 2009. Given the nature of their matches, it should come as no surprise that Danielson would be open to putting on another show with McGuinness.

During a recent interview with Casual Conversations, Bryan Danielson mentioned that he would love to have one more match against Nigel but fears fans' expectations as not many would know of his matches with the latter from their ROH days.

"It's interesting because obviously I would love to wrestle Nigel. I get afraid of fan expectations, of what it would be, because I don't know how many people have actually seen our matches, but it's like they were very physical matches...That's the thing I would be afraid of, is people's expectations of what they think it should be. If you were to do Wembley with me and Nigel, the nice thing is we wouldn't be the main event for sure, so if we could go on first or second, first would be amazing," Danielson said. It remains to be seen if Nigel McGuinness will be willing to come out of retirement for one more match with Bryan Danielson.
