Wrestling veteran Dave Meltzer recently revealed that former world champion Bryan Danielson also has decision-making power in the Tony Khan-led AEW. The American Dragon is widely popular for his tenure in WWE, where he spent more than a decade. The former WWE Champion left the Stamford-based promotion in 2021 after his contract with the company expired.

Later that year, he signed with AEW and made his surprise debut at All Out. Danielson is set for a busy weekend. The legendary wrestler will compete in a Bunkhouse Brawl match alongside Claudio Castagnoli in a tag team affair against Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita on Collision this Saturday.

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer claimed that it was a bad idea for Bryan to compete in such a match, given that he has a major match against Will Ospreay this weekend on AEW Dynasty.

However, Meltzer added that it must have been Danielson's idea to do the Bunkhouse Brawl match on the eve of his encounter with The Aerial Assassin, suggesting that the former WWE Superstar holds significant decision-making powers in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

"I don't know about Bryan Danielson doing a Bunkhouse Brawl the night before the [Will] Ospreay match. That's a roll of the dice that I would not take. You can always get hurt, but that's a pretty hard-hitting match. I wouldn't have taken that risk, but they know what they're doing," said Meltzer.

He added:

"Danielson isn't doing it unless it's Danielson's idea to do it. He may not always be right, but he's the one making the calls. Well, Tony is making the final call, but Danielson isn't doing anything he doesn't want to do." [H/T WrestleTalk]

Will Ospreay defeated Bryan Danielson's stablemate on AEW Dynamite!

Will Ospreay is set to take on Bryan Danielson in a dream match at Dynasty on April 21. Before taking on his scheduled opponent for Sunday, he fought his Blackpool Combat Clud stablemate, Claudio Castagnoli, in a singles match at this week's Dynamite.

The ending segment of the match saw The Aerial Assassin hitting a Hidden Blade on his opponent to pick up the win. Following the match, The Don Callis Family came out to do some damage on Claudio, but Jon Moxley came for the save.
