Former WWE Superstar breaks silence following suspended by AEW

Former WWE Superstar (FKA Franky Monet) Taya Valkyrie has finally broken her silence after being suspended by AEW for attacking a referee during a match on Dynamite.

AEW suspended Valkyrie for touching referee Aubrey Edwards after losing to Jade Cargill in a TBS Championship match. The challenger could not use her finisher during the match and was frustrated that the stipulation may have affected the outcome. The commentary team announced her suspension on the May 5th edition of AEW Dynamite.

Taya Valkyrie expressed her frustration on Twitter, saying she regretted nothing and was out for revenge. She also warned fellow wrestler Mark Sterling that he is "next."

"The more I sit at home and think about my @AEW suspension, the more annoyed, p*ssed off and livid I get. And ya, I put my hands on @RefAubrey and regret nothing. The Jade Brand is a fraud. Sooner or later her house of cards will fall. @MarkSterlingEsq stay in your lane, your next," Valkyrie wrote.

It remains to be seen how AEW will respond to Valkyrie's comments or how long her suspension will last.

WWE veteran criticizes Taya Valkyrie's latest match against Jade Cargill

Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette reviewed Taya Valkyrie's match against Jade Cargill, criticizing the bout and noting that she was "scr*wed" by WWE during her time in the promotion. The 39-year-old was released in November 2021, having only wrestled in six matches, losing three.

On an episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran praised her time in WWE NXT, but he harshly criticized Valkyrie's recent match against Cargill, stating that it was "rotten."

"In the past, I’ve loved Taya Valkyrie. She looks great, she’s got the size. I’ve seen her have good matches, she was very entertaining as Franky Monet for about three weeks in NXT before they scr*wed her over there... This was f**king rotten. And it wasn’t all Jade’s fault, I think it was a style clash. Jade is rotten, there’s no doubt about that. Taya, who I thought was good, was rotten in this match," Cornette said.

It is uncertain if Taya Valkyrie and Jade Cargill will have a rematch following Valkyrie's suspension, but their rivalry appears to be intense.
