An unexpected interference during a vicious Street Fight cost Chris Jericho and his partner an AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Battle of the Belts IX. The star would be none other than Sammy Guevara.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara finally challenged Ricky Starks and Big Bill for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at the Battle of the Belts following the most recent episode of Saturday Night Collision. It was a Street Fight that took place all over the arena and also outside on the streets in Norfolk, Virginia.

The match was made official after Jericho's previous partner, Kenny Omega, got out of action as he was suffering from diverticulitis. Nonetheless, Sammy Guevara re-joined his mentor, Chris Jericho, even after betraying him weeks ago. The Street Fight at Battle of the Belts turned out to be quite vicious.

The bout included so many unbelievable spots, such as taking each other down on the car's windshield as well as Guevara running down his opponents with a golf cart. In the end, Sammy jumped from the top of the stage, but surprisingly, Powerhouse Hobbs pulled Ricky Starks out of the way, which allowed Starks to secure the win.

It remains to be seen what will be the aftermath of the shocking result.
