AEW will present the go-home Dynamite for their inaugural Dynasty pay-per-view later tonight. While there's a buzz surrounding this episode, many fans are still debating last week's segment that revealed the controversial footage of CM Punk and Jack Perry at All In 2023. The Young Bucks are now speaking their minds on the debacle, and declaring that three stars were done wrong that night in London.
The initial announcement was met with skepticism, but the fallout from airing the All In footage has been swift, with wrestlers and fans condemning the decision for the most part. While the company took action on social media that seemed to indicate regret, two of their Executive Vice Presidents say otherwise.
The Young Bucks spoke to Sports Illustrated this week and made it clear that they have no regrets over the Dynamite segment. Matt Jackson said they were wronged at All In that night, meaning Perry and The Bucks:
"Since we are wrestling FTR at Dynasty, and with it being the first time doing that since All In London, so many feelings and thoughts came rushing back. Old wounds were reopened. We decided it was only fair to be transparent and honest with our fans. We needed to give them context about why we feel we came up short at All In London. Our bodies were there in the ring wrestling FTR at Wembley, but our minds were in the back with the scapegoat in the entire situation, Jack Perry. The three of us specifically were wronged that night, and I haven’t gotten over that," Matt Jackson said.
The Bucks earlier today made very telling comments on Perry's future, and Punk. Now Nick Jackson has confirmed that they were not nervous or afraid to air the All In footage, and did not hesitate. He reiterated that there were no regrets:
"As EVPs, we were given a task for that week by the boss and we did it to the best of our abilities. Zero regret," Nick Jackson said.
The Bucks are set to face FTR in a Ladder Match at Dynasty on Sunday. The winners of the tournament finals will win the vacant World Tag Team Championship. Both teams are currently two-time All Elite champions.
Tony Khan hypes AEW Dynasty Week
All Elite Wrestling is gearing up for a big week ahead of their inaugural Dynasty pay-per-view.
Tonight's go-home Dynamite will air live from Indianapolis, IN, while a special 4/20 edition of Collision will air on Saturday, then a special Saturday Rampage will air right after, live from Peoria, IL.
Tony Khan took to X this week to hype Dynasty Week and thank the fans. The AEW President, CEO, General Manager & Head of Creative promised a great line-up and key storyline developments.
