Dutch Mantell has commented on how AEW President Tony Khan could form his team to take on The Elite after the stable attacked him on the recent episode of Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite witnessed one of its most shocking endings this week, which saw Jack Perry and The Elite brutally attacking Tony Khan. It's safe to say it's already one of the most intriguing feuds in the company's history, and there are multiple directions they could head into in the coming weeks and months.
On the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell suggested an interesting pitch regarding how the story could pan out.
The former WWE manager advised AEW not to rush the storyline, saying they could easily have it play out for several months. He added that the feud could see Tony Khan forming his tag team to take on The Elite.
"You know for how long they can carry this angle? At least six to nine months. Don't speed it up. Now you have Tony Khan getting his team together. Getting his guys who support him. So you put it down all on paper and see what you got. Hell, they got too much with no one talking about it," said Dutch Mantell. (13:09 - 13:40)
Thunder Rosa gives an update on Tony Khan after AEW Dynamite
During her recent appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, Rosa shared backstage details of Tony Khan's condition after the closing segment on AEW Dynamite. Thunder Rosa revealed that Khan collapsed in the doctor's office.
“For me, it was really funny! I was not expecting it. I was there when this happened, and I was in shock. I was in the doctor’s room when he [Tony Khan] was brought into the doctor’s room. Tony Khan collapsed in the doctor’s office after what just happened with The Elite. Also, another thing with that The Elite, people were hating them a lot, but I think there’s now a real reason to hate them. The storyline makes sense, and I think a lot of the stuff that was questionable was after that video, where it [was] like, where’s this gonna go? Well, now I know where it’s gonna go. They’re against the boss,” Rosa said.
It remains to be seen if The Elite and Jack Perry would face any repercussions over their heinous attack on Tony Khan.
