Could Will Ospreay end up snubbing AEW?

Will Ospreay is set to be a free agent in only a few months, and while many believe he could be AEW bound, does he have another destination in mind?

Ospreay recently made his IMPACT Wrestling debut at BOUND FOR GLORY, where he took on Mike Bailey. While the star failed to beat Alexander in the end, he still seemed taken aback by his experience in the promotion.

Shortly after his match, Will Ospreay cut a promo harkening back to when he decided to become a wrestler at 14 years old after watching Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles.

“Once upon a time, I honestly thought IMPACT was done. There was no saving IMPACT Wrestling. But then new ownership came along and then the talent backstage! It is and should be spoken loud and clear that the staff back there and on the roster are the reason why this place is living, breathing, and thriving.” [03:03 onward]

The star continued, hinting that he'll be returning soon.

“But, I didn’t want to come to IMPACT Wrestling; I wanted to come to TNA. So, before I round this up, before February strikes, you better make sure, as much as I loved Impact: I mean to step foot in a TNA ring.” [03:37 onward]

Will Ospreay notably continued his praise for IMPACT on social media, and praised them for inspiring him to become a wrestler. The star notably seemed open to different options, which makes an IMPACT or rather, a TNA debut all the more realistic.

Sean Ross Sapp speculates that Will Ospreay is headed to AEW

While his recent action in IMPACT Wrestling has warmed him up to the promotion, he's already established himself to the AEW audience. So, could this all lead to a clear and predictable jump to All Elite Wrestling?

During a Q&A for Fightful Select, Sean Sapp Ross speculated that Will Ospreay will ultimately find his way into AEW, but that he realizes that he's a hot commodity.

“That’s where I think he’ll go, but after speaking to those close to him, as well as him, that his mentality changed a lot from. I think he realizes that this is his big contract. With his style, and he is in his early 30s, he knows this is his big contract.”

It remains to be seen where Will Ospreay will end up going in the next few months, but it seems like he's ready for the next chapter of his pro wrestling career.
