Delicious in Dungeon episode 17 aired on April 25, 2024 and it focused on Laios, Shuro, and Kabru's encounter against a now transformed Falin. Falin, who had now transformed into a chimera, ended up eliminating many members of Kabru and Shuro's party. Although many anime fans were hoping for a large scale fight against Falin, the fight was cut short as Falin escaped.
The episode was one of the most high stakes and dark episodes in the series so far. The anime is currently airing, with both subbed and dubbed episodes being released simultaneously. Delicious in Dungeon episode 16 is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

Delicious in Dungeon episode 17 highlights
In Delicious in Dungeon episode 17, Shuro confronts Laios regarding the situation with Falin. Kabru and Shuro engage in a discussion about Shuro’s frustrations with Falin's predicament. Shuro expresses his annoyance with Laios’s attitude rather than his use of black magic.
Shuro declares his unwillingness to assist Laios any longer. Soon after, Chilchuk interrupts, informing them of monsters attacking the cooking crew. Shuro heads off to investigate.
Meanwhile, Laios confides in Chilchuk, admitting he disclosed everything to Shuro about their adventures. Laios and Kabru deliberate over the fallout with Shuro, fearing their friendship may end.
Chilchuk later tells Marcille who else knows about their black magic antics. He explains Shuro’s anger over Falin's endangerment. As they argue over whether to destroy Marcille’s staff to avoid trouble, a comrade falls next to them.
They turn and spot Falin in the distance, her appearance shocking everyone. Falin arrives on the battlefield, attacking and killing one of Shuro’s companions. Despite Shuro's pleas, two of Kabru’s allies attack Falin.
When Falin harms one of Kabru’s allies, Rin intervenes, using an electricity spell to paralyze her. Meanwhile, Laios recalls his conversations with Senshi and Kensuke about monsters.
He draws his sword, intending to kill Falin. However, Falin regains consciousness and calls out to Laios, prompting him to lower his weapon. Before Laios can intervene, Kabru attacks Falin, leading to a confrontation.
After a struggle, Laios manages to stop Falin from delivering a fatal blow. He argues that Falin’s soul might still be intact and suggests retreating to avoid the lunatic magician. Falin escapes, leaving behind wounded warriors. Holm resurrects Kabru and Maizuru offers to resurrect those he cannot. Shuro confronts Marcille about the black magic, accusing her of turning Falin into a Chimera.
Marcille defends herself, suggesting Falin's transformation might be due to other factors. Shuro decides to take Marcille to the Western elves and demands she confess everything.
Laios and Shuro argue, leading to a physical altercation, with Laios emerging victorious. Laios insists they will accomplish their mission, while Shuro plans to return to the surface.
Final thoughts
Delicious in Dungeon episode 17 mainly focused on exploring Falin's transformation into a chimera along with her rather hostile instincts. Episode 18 will be released on May 2, 2024 and will focus on Laios' party encountering dopplegangers of themselves.
