Ever since the start of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, the series protagonist Boruto has avoided using his Karma. While fans thought that the protagonist did not use his Karma because he did not need to, the manga's latest chapter finally hinted at why the protagonist avoids using Karma.

After the God Trees invaded the Hidden Leaf Village, the protagonist returned to the village to fight the antagonists. Unfortunately, his mission was interrupted by Kawaki, who wished to fight his adoptive brother. During this, Kawaki's Karma activation resonated with Boruto's karma, forcing the protagonist to run away.

How can Momoshiki take over Boruto like Sukuna took over Megumi?

As fans have previously seen in the manga, Momoshiki Otsutsuki can take over his host's body if the protagonist gets defeated or falls unconscious. Such a state leaves the host vulnerable, allowing Momoshiki to take over the body and do as he pleases.

Using such opportunities, Momoshiki has already impaled Sasuke Uchiha's Rinnegan eye and threatened Naruto Uzumaki's life. Hence, there was also a time when the Hidden Leaf Village considered Boruto a threat, forcing Naruto to consider killing his son.

Fortunately, Amado's medicines came in handy, helping the protagonist slow down his Otsutsufication.

However, now the situation has changed quite a bit. The protagonist is no longer a human turning into an Otsutsuki. Instead, he is a complete Otsutsuki. Thus, Boruto when using his karma itself would be vulnerable.

This might be why the protagonist decided to run away from Kawaki after his karma resonated with Kawaki's karma in the manga's ninth chapter.

With that, one can say with certainty that Momoshiki Otsutsuki can still take over his host. While such a situation would be very dangerous, as fans would know, the protagonist has a strong will. Hence, it might be challenging for Momoshiki to attain complete control over Megumi.

This is where Momoshiki can learn a thing or two from Jujutsu Kaisen's Ryomen Sukuna as the King of Curses gained complete control over Megumi Fushiguro's body.

When Sukuna took over Megumi's body, the jujutsu sorcerer tried fending off Sukuna from his body, preventing the King of Curses from doing as he pleased.

Therefore, Sukuna decided to subjugate Megumi's soul by having him surrender control of his body. For this, Sukuna hurt the person Megumi loved the most, i.e., Tsumiki Fushiguro.

At that time, Tsumiki's body was taken over by Yorozu. Hence, Sukuna opted to torture Yorozu to indirectly hurt Tsumiki.

During this, Sukuna had taken over Megumi's body, leaving the jujutsu sorcerer hopeless as he witnessed himself killing his sister. With that, Megumi’s soul succumbed to despair, giving Sukuna complete control over his body.

Therefore, if Momoshiki attains control over the protagonist's body, he could possibly use Ryomen Sukuna's tactic to subjugate his host. For this, the Otsutsuki could take the same direction as Sukuna, i.e., hurting the host's beloved sister, which in Boruto's case would be Himawari Uzumaki.

While the protagonist has a strong will, he too could fall into despair if he witnessed himself torturing and killing his little sister.
