Negai no Astro chapter 2, titled Astro, continues with the aftermath of the bizarre meteor shower, followed by an explosion in which many people gained special abilities. As this is also a tale of inheritance, it depicts the infighting within the Yotsurugi family, which, in turn, allows readers to witness a few new abilities, referred to as Astro, gifted by the cosmic forces.

In the first chapter of Ken Wakui’s new manga, translated to English as Astro Royale, readers were introduced to the leads of the story, Hibaru and Terasu, who were given the responsibility of looking after the Yotsurugi family by Kongo on his deathbed. But everything took a turn when a meteor shower disrupted the world of normalcy, possibly forever.

Ken Wakui's Negai no Astro chapter 2 begins with Hibaru waking up from a two-week-long, hibernation-like sleep, to find Terasu waiting by his side. As he begins to feel hungry, he seeks out the old man who runs the candy store. However, he discovers that the store has been completely destroyed due to the explosion.

Terasu then reveals that the most powerful group within the Yotsurugi family, known as the Hawk faction, has taken control of the headquarters. They have stockpiled all available resources and are selling them on the black market. This has left ordinary people, including the elderly candy store owner, totally deprived.

Next, in Negai no Astro chapter 2, Hibaru is shown storming into the headquarters, demanding justice for the common people. He then expresses his disdain at witnessing his own organization behaving like thugs and hoarding supplies.

The episode then depicts Shio, the leader of the Hawk Faction, resting on another level of the building. It is revealed that he has acquired a unique power, referred to as Astro, which enables him to move the debris around him without any physical contact. Upon hearing the news of Hibaru's survival, he orders for his execution.

Negai no Astro chapter 2 reveals the new abilities acquired by two members of the Hawk faction. The first guy has obtained the power to conjure a massive blade out of his hand, as well as several smaller blades sprouting from his upper arm. Meanwhile, the other member gained the ability to create a suit of steel.

However, Hibaru steps forward and proclaims that if their powers are the result of their wishes, then his willpower is stronger. Proving his point, he unleashes a punch-attack, named Bare-Handed Magnum Blast, which blows away the steel-shell guy.

Witnessing Hibaru's Astro, the remaining Hawk Faction members hastily retreat. This marks the end of the Yotsurugi Family's control over the storage room filled with hoarded supplies. Hibaru then allows the commoners to take whatever they need from the supplies. In return, he simply takes a piece of candy from an old man.

In the previous chapter, readers were introduced to Hibaru Yotsurugi, the only biological offspring of the Yotsurugi family's boss, Kongo. Kongo used to be a gangster, but ordinary people admired him because he always stood up for the vulnerable and the needy. This was something that Hibaru imbibed.

In the present, at Kongo's memorial, Hibaru caused quite the uproar by announcing that his father's wish was for Tesaru to become the Yotsurugi family's next boss instead of Kongo's other adopted sons, who had transformed the organization into a legitimate enterprise.

In reality, Kongo had wished for Hibaru to lead and Tesaru to serve as his underboss, but Hibaru doubted his ability to remain authentic while successfully leading the organization.

Next, during a meteor shower, Hibaru clutched his father's parting gift to him, a pendant, and wished to become a powerful Yakuza, protect Tesaru, and support the Yotsurugi family. When the meteors caused an explosion, Hibaru witnessed Tesaru being trapped under a building. However, the meteors seemed to bestow him with powers, enabling him to demolish the building with a single punch while holding his pendant. Afterwards, Hibaru fainted.

It was also revealed that Hibaru was not the only one who had gained powers, as several other people, including Yotsurugi family members, had gained powers as well.
