Dragon Ball Super Gallery project has confirmed that the next cover will be done by Toyotaro, Akira Toriyama's successor. It is a project where several renowned mangaka have done their own versions of a cover of the original manga from the 80s and early 90s, so it makes sense that Toyotaro is the next one on the list as this is the first cover since Toriyama's passing in March.

This also confirms that the Dragon Ball Super manga will return in May after a small hiatus, which makes sense because of the legendary author's decease and the time for everyone involved to mourn. There isn't a lot of information regarding how the manga will continue, but everything seems to suggest that Toyotaro is going to be in charge of the series on his own moving forward, although that is mere speculation.

Toyotaro will be the next mangaka to do a cover for the Dragon Ball Super Gallery project

It has been confirmed that Toyotaro will be the next mangaka to do a cover for this gallery project, which focuses on several high-profile authors doing their own versions of Akira Toriyama's covers for the original manga. The project started in 2021 as a way to celebrate the legendary franchise's 40th anniversary and this cover would be the first one since the mangaka's passing on March 1.

The next cover will come out in next month's Saikyo Jump Issue #7, although there are no specific details of what the cover will be about. Furthermore, it holds a very emotional element since it would be Toyotaro paying tribute to Toriyama, who was his mentor and now he has become the successor for the manga.

The passing of Akira Toriyama was a major blow to the anime and manga industry, especially considering the author's impact, which was shown through the tributes after the announcement of his death. Presidents were paying their respects to Toriyama and people in Latin America were gathering in plazas to raise their hands to the sky, just like Goku's Genkidama, to honor the author's legacy.

It has been speculated for quite some time how the Dragon Ball Super manga was going to continue, but now it has been confirmed that Toyotaro will be in charge of the production. This is not something that surprised a lot of fans, considering Toyotaro's experience working with Toriyama and how he has managed to mimic the latter's art style throughout the years.

The manga is bound to come back in May and the story is certain to continue from that point onward.
