The New Gate episode 3 recap
The New Gate episode 3 was titled A Strange Request. It started with Shin forming a contract with the Elementail he saved in the previous episode. He named it Yuzuha, which the Elementail also approved. He later visited the guild, reported the case, and accepted a formal quest given by the orphanage Millie was from.
As soon as he entered, he asked the head person of the orphanage to let him meet Millie. They had a fun reunion and Millie thanked Shin for saving Yuzuha. The head person then announced the quest in front of Shin, which was to teach one of the sisters of the orphanage the Purify magic, to which Shin agreed without demanding any rewards.
The episode later saw Shin meet Lucia, the sister whom the head person was mentioning to teach the magic skill. Wilhelm also entered and suspected Shin of fraud, to which the sisters said they believed in him. Later that night, Shin was taken to a bar by Wilhelm, who asked whether or not he was a chosen one. As Shin was just reincarnated from the past, he didn't know what this term meant.
Wilhelm cleared his doubts and tagged with Shin and Lucia the next day to teach the sister Purify magic. Shin and Wilhelm took care of the monsters whereas Lucia only applied the final blow.
While they were doing their thing on one side of the forest, Schnee was accompanying the royal army in their mission to subjugate the Skullface Jacks.
