It's not the first time that Anthony Rendon is expected to miss out a month or two for the Los Angeles Angels. Rendon has been sidelined before and injury setbacks have been common for the third baseman throughout his career.

Rendon seems prone to injuries, especially after his stint with the Washington Nationals. The slugger has been injured for the fourth straight year now, this time, with a torn hamstring. While it might be genuine for Rendon, it's no surprise to MLB fans.

It could take months for Rendon to return, and some fans couldn't help but troll the 33-year-old for consistently being injured and spending most of the season on the IL. Fans took to social media as they pitched in on his recent injury:

Here's a look at a few fans reacting to Renon's latest injury on X/Twitter:

"Back to his favorite position in baseball," wrote one fan.
"$35M a year, 5 years in, and he's still yet to play 60 games in a season," another fan replied.

Fans continued to troll Rendon as more comments poured in:

"Shocking... was it self diagnosed?" asked another fan.
"Is this one where he says he's coming back and then in August they rule him out for the year? What's the typical time frame for an injury like this," added one fan.
"Guy really hates baseball. Worst contract of all time," wrote one fan.
"Update: he intends to be ready to go by September 2026," added one fan.

No timeframe for Anthony Rendon's return

Anthony Rendon's return is still questionable as there is no particular timeframe. Rendon was diagnosed with a high-grade partial tear on his left hamstring. The Angles slugger has been frustrated dealing with injuries:

“It’s four years now. I was angry for a few days, frustrated. Anything that you can possibly imagine. The game keeps getting taken away from me. I want to win. I want to be out there," Rendon said.

According to GM Perry Minasian, hamstrings can be "tricky". The Angels can only hope for a speedy recovery to have Rendon back on the team as soon as possible:

“I have no idea how long because hamstrings are tricky,” Minasian said. “It's unfortunate, because he was starting to swing the bat well, but that's why we have the depth we have."
