San Francisco Giants pitchers Tyler and Taylor Rogers, who are also incidentally identical twins, etched their names in the history books late last year, becoming only the fourth pair of twins to play on the same team!

Tyler and Taylor are the only family duos to have done so, joining José and Ozzie Canseco (1990 A's), Eddie and Johnny O'Brien (1953, '55-58 Pirates), and Joe and Red Shannon (1915 Braves).

The reunion unfolded when Taylor signed a three-year, $33 million contract with the Giants from the Milwaukee Brewers in December last year. The move also meant the brothers became only the 10th set of twins to both reach the MLB on record.

The duo made their San Francisco bullpen debut yesterday, walking out together onto the Oracle Park training facility. The cameras captured the pair throwing a couple of pitches, just reminding everybody that they're ready and raring to kick off the 2023 MLB season!

While normal service resumed for Tyler, Taylor looked at home in his new surroundings.

The brothers, Taylor, a left-hander, and Tyler, a right-hander, hail from Littleton, Colorado, and turned 32 on Dec. 17.

San Francisco Giants 2023 offseason transfer activity

The San Francisco Giants had a fairly decent offseason in trade acquisitions. While fans expect more to compete with the likes of the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.

Coming infamously short in their pursuit of reigning AL MVP Aaron Judge and hot property shortstop Carlos Correa, they only compounded the woes for the President of Baseball Operations at the San Francisco, Farhan Zaidi, and the organization.

Despite the San Francisco outfit managing to sign outfielders Mitch Haniger and Michael Conforto, starting pitchers Sean Manaea and Ross Stripling, and relief pitcher Taylor Rogers in free agency this winter, many will term this a failed offseason in terms of strengthening the roster.
