MLB fans mock Cy Young pitcher Trevor Bauer after decision to sign with Yokohama backfires: "Dude got yeeted into the minor leagues in Japan"

The decision by Trevor Bauer to move to the Nippon Professional Baseball League seemed to make sense at the time. The Los Angeles Dodgers took the call to cut ties with the pitcher in January. Bauer was coming off a long and draining appeal process with the league and a change of scenery seemed like the smart move.Less than six months later, Bauer has been demoted by the Yokohama DeNA Baystars to the minors. Hindsight is 20/20 but no one could have predicted a decline of this magnitude for the former Cy Young winner.The decision to jumpstart his career in Japan seems to have backfired for Bauer. The 32-year-old signed a one-year, $4 million deal with Yokohama in March. Whether it is rust, culture shock or just Bauer having difficulty adjusting to the Japanese game, he has struggled on the mound.MLB fans took to Twitter to react to the news of his demotion.
