Jason Kidd, is a former basketball player from America. He is currently the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. Born in San Francisco, California, J-Kidd used to play the guard position in the league.

Kidd had a highly successful career ever since his high school days. He was considered to be an ideal guard and was scouted by many ACC teams. Kidd had already garnered a ton of experience and achievements before joining college.

Kidd went to the University of California and at the time, the Golden Bears were not having a great run and were not contenders for the conference titles. This move led many analysts and fans in shock, Kidd averaged 13 points and 7.7 assists in his first year earning him National Freshman of the Year honors. He was great at stealing the ball and causing the opponents to get turnovers. Kidd led the team to the NCAA tournament as a sophomore but fell short, after which he enlisted himself for the draft. The University of California retired Kidd's no.5 jersey as an honour to his achievements for the team.

J-Kidd started his NBA career playing for the Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 11.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in his first year. Kidd won many accolades and was Co-Rookie of the Year along with Grant Hill. The Mavericks increased their overall standing the very first year after Kidd's joining.

J-Kidd was traded to the Phoenix Suns and has also played for the New Jersey Nets and the New York Knicks during his career.

J-Kidd started coaching in the year of his retirement. He was named the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

Jason Kidd immediately jumped to coaching after his playing career. He was named the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets and would take on this role for a year. It was his first time coaching and Kidd led the team to the semi-finals that same year.

Kidd made a move to Milwaukee the very next season. Kidd was said to be denied of making changes to the roster. This led him to find work elsewhere. Under his guidance, the Bucks were a much improved team that made it to the playoffs that year.

After coaching the Bucks for four-years, he was hired to manage as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kidd won his second NBA championship and his first as an assistant coach with the Lakers.

J-Kidd made his return to managing the Mavs. He took charge and turned the team into league contenders. Kidd made many changes to the organisation and their roster. He has been credited to have made the team much stronger defensively and is under contract to coach the team till 2025.
