Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies has been going through a bit of controversy over the past few weeks. After reports emerged that he had allegedly punched a 17-year-old, the internet started to question some of the things that Morant has been doing throughout the past few months.

There was another report saying that he pointed a gun at a car after one of the Grizzlies' most recent games. However, he came out and said that those reports are not true.

Friday night saw a huge turn as Ja Morant decided to go on Instagram and show off a gun. This comes days after reports of him getting into it with the young kid. The report also stated that he showed up at a sneaker store with his friends to protect his mom.

While this was going on, Morant decided to delete his Twitter and Instagram accounts. As expected, the wild NBA Twitter world went crazy from this development.

User Bonecrusher_ says that Tee - Morant's father - must have slapped him for doing this.

DomincT3521 mocked Morant for saying he's "fine in the West." Morant had an interview with Malika Andrews and stated that the only team that worried him was the Boston Celtics.

Ja Morant missing the next two games

Ja Morant will now miss the next two games for the Grizzlies as the team announced that he will be away from the team for that span.

Morant then issued an apology.

"I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire organization for letting you down," the statement read. "I'm going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being."

This is certainly something to keep an eye on as the Grizzlies are fighting to keep the number two spot in the Western Conference.

However, it seems like something much worse could be going on in Ja Morant's life and it's best if he does take this time to figure things out.

Legendz_nba compared this situation to what happened with Gilbert Arenas. Arena brought a gin into the Washington Wizards locker room and dared his teammate, Javaris Crittenton, to shoot him. He reportedly had some sort of argument come from a card game that he wasn’t even a part of.

JWilli44 says that RJ Barrett should’ve gone #1 in the NBA Draft. Morant went #2 that season, while Zion Williamson got selected with the #1 pick. Morant now has these issues, and Zion has dealt with injuries for virtually his entire career.
