NBA fans are one of the most passionate groups of people who consistently root for their respective teams, whether on social media or reality. BetOnline recently created an infographic that showed which fan bases complain the most about how games are being officiated on Twitter.

The league has an incredible following on social media that has helped fans express their thoughts, support, and give hot takes about the teams that they root for. This has helped them become one of the most entertaining bunches on social media. However, there are also some disadvantages to it.

With their energy, fans can often express themselves in a different manner. This has caused most people to find some fans "toxic" in certain situations. In an infographic that BetOnline recently posted, the Golden State Warriors came out on top as having a fan base with the most complaints to officials on Twitter.

With the evolved offense in the league, it's no surprise that there are teams who have used it to their advantage. There have also been questionable calls this season, which have probably caused other fan bases to react negatively online.

Is there a problem with the way some games have been officiated in the NBA this season?

Complaining to referees in the NBA isn't new. Coaches, players, and fans have all expressed their disagreement on certain calls this season. Even the smallest gestures from players have cost them a technical foul from the officials. One example of this situation was on Jayson Tatum earlier this season.

In a preseason game between the Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors, the three-time All-Star attempted to block Scottie Barnes' shot. Barnes then drew the blocking fown on Tatum and the latter expressed his reaction through his body language. The Celtics star waved his hands in disgust in front of the official and was quickly given a technical foul.

The call was controversial as the game was an exhibition game. Additionally, Tatum was ultimately ejected for his reaction to the call. He wasn't the only player given a technical foul during that instance. His teammate, Grant Williams, also received a technical foul after explaining the situation to the official.

Since then, there's been a question of officials having too much power. This has cost players games and fans were also robbed of some intense moments, which some would love to see.
