Kevin Durant expressed his excitement at getting a chance to play against the NBA's top prospect, Victor Wembanyama. The forward for the Brooklyn Nets gave the French bigman high praise when a former player asked his thoughts about him.

Durant went on to Jamal Crawford's segment on NBATV called Crawford's Couch, where he shared his opinion on Wembanyama. Like the fans, he revealed his enthusiasm for Wemby, who could be drafted first in next year's draft.

"Man, I just see a talented, enthusiastic player that just looks like he loves the game. You could see those guys that love to play. It looks like he got so much better over the last couple of years, that's just from the work that you put in. So, I'm impressed with him, I can't wait to see him in the league. See how everything pans out for him in the league and I'm looking forward to playing against him as well."

The fans aren't the only ones excited to see Wemby step foot on an NBA court. Even superstars see immense potential for the Frenchman and can't wait to play against him. The 7'3" big is the top prospect for a reason, and Durant knows why.

After a shaky start, things are starting to flow perfectly for the Nets this season. One of the reasons for their success is Kevin Durant, who's been playing incredibly well. After issues ensued in Brooklyn, questions rose about whether things would ever return to normal. Luckily for them, the problems are a thing of the past now.

The 12-time All-Star has been playing great this season. Durant is averaging 30.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 56.5 percent from the field and 36.2 percent from the three-point area. With these stats, he ranked fifth in the latest MVP race after being seventh the previous week.

With Kyrie Irving, Durant has willed the team to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. The two All-Stars have worked well alongside each other, giving Nets fans reason to cheer for their squad. But the real question is, how far can KD take the team this season?

Looking at the Nets' roster, there aren't many injuries anymore. Most of the players are fully healthy and capable contributors to the squad. Based on that, they can reach the conference finals under Durant's leadership this season.

Additionally, new head coach Jacque Vaughn has transformed the team into a better defensive group. This makes them one of the toughest matchups in the entire NBA. With this success, we might see Durant and Irving stay with the Nets.
