Kevin Durant and Steph Curry's former trainer Rob McClanaghan has reportedly had rape charges against him dismissed. With the skill development trainer facing serious accusations earlier on, we take a look at the entire story.

Rob McClanaghan was a skills trainer for some of the top players in the NBA. With names such as Kevin Durant and Steph Curry in the mix, McClanaghan had a rather impressive clientele. However, the 43-year old was arrested on charges of rape and drugging for intercourse in downtown Boston.

Given the nature of the case, McClanaghan faced some serious charges. Fortunately enough, the trainer had the charges dropped. A statement released by Suffolk County assistant district attorney Kevin Hayden read:

"Based on a review of all available evidence, including information that emerged after the defendant's arrest, (Massachusetts) cannot prove these charges beyond a reasonable doubt at trial."

As per Adrian Wojnarowski's report, additional comments from Hayden's offense also stated:

"Our responsibility in all cases is to follow the evidence wherever it leads. In some cases that endeavor does not add up to a viable prosecution. We have a duty to recognize that conclusion and to take the appropriate action when it is reached. We have taken that appropriate action today. Out of respect for the privacy of all parties involved we will have no further comment."

McClanaghan's bail, which was initially set at $30,000, was reduced to $10,000 following extradition to Massachusetts. McClanaghan's attorney Kelli Porges shared a statement following the charges against her client being dropped:

"Rob and his family are relieved that this nightmare is over and that he has been exonerated. Rob has maintained his innocence from the very beginning of this case, and now he has been vindicated."

Kevin Durant and Steph Curry among several other clients for Rob McClanaghan

Rob McClanaghan has a rather impressive clientele of NBA players. While Kevin Durant and Steph Curry are among the big names, McClanaghan has also served as an independent skills trainer for other premier players in the league.

Players like Russell Westbrook, John Wall, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love have all been linked with McClanaghan in the past. Needless to say, the quality of his training is impressive.

Kevin Durant remains one of the premier offensive forces in the league. Although the forward has struggled with injuries this season, Durant has remained an offensive threat every time he's on the floor.

Meanwhile, Steph Curry's reputation speaks for itself. As a four-time NBA champion and reigning Finals MVP, Curry is truly in a league of his own. With the Golden State Warriors superstar coming off an injury, the Dubs will hope to see him settle into his offensive flow.
