"Made the right play every f***ing time": Anthony Edwards praises Karl-Anthony Towns in locker-room speech following Game 6 against Denver Nuggets

The Minnesota Timberwolves kept the Western Conference semifinals alive after winning Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets. An all-round display from Anthony Edwards & Co. meant that the Timberwolves were in control right from the first quarter, which they finished with a 17-point lead.

Edwards scored a game-high 27 points as his team dominated proceedings and suffocated the talented Nuggets throughout the game. The 22-year-old was especially impressed with his teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns.

KAT finished with another double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. He also had a postseason high of five assists and was praised for his decision-making the entire night, as he returned with just one turnover.

The performance was noticed by his teammates as well, as Edwards in particular came out with praise in the locker room.

The praise was met with applause, as the rest of the locker room burst with appreciation. Towns himself clutched his heart and was seemingly grateful for the praise he received from the prodigal youngster.

The Timberwolves played an athletic, high-intensity style of basketball throughout the first two games of the series. However, the three losses allowed the Nuggets to regain control, as Edwards' club failed to match the zeal that had propelled them to the postseason in the first place.

In Game 6, however, the Timberwolves looked back to their best. Every rotation player finished with at least one assist, and the team put some exemplary ball-sharing on display the entire night.

The Denver Nuggets came to Game 6 intent on suffocating Karl-Anthony Towns, who made the right decisions the entire night and kept his team fighting on the front foot.

The Timberwolves will be hoping they can repeat their playing style in Game 7. At the same time, Edwards himself was utterly confident in his abilities.

Even when his team lost Game 5, the 22-year-old told a Nuggets’ staff member that he would ‘see them’ in Game 7. That is exactly how the narrative has turned out.

The series will now be concluded at the Ball Arena in Denver, where the Nuggets lost the first two games of the series.
