Two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is probable for the Milwaukee Bucks versus the Orlando Magic tonight. He has been playing through a sore right knee for over two months already.
Antetokounmpo missed the Bucks game against the Phoenix Suns on February 26 after he banged knees with Victor Oladipo the night before the Suns game.
The NBA All-Star team captain, however, had a full practice session before the game tonight against the Magic, so he’s expected to suit up.

The Bucks’ 17-game winning streak was broken by the Philadelphia 76ers last Saturday but they’re on track to start a new one. They dispatched the Washington Wizards in their last game and are looking to add the Magic to their new list of victims.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging a career-high 31.2 points, 11.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 52 games this season. He has surged in the latest MVP rankings as the Bucks have now wrestled the best record in the NBA away from the Boston Celtics.
Unless there’s a major setback, Antetokounmpo should start tonight versus the Magic.
Like the “Greek Freak,” Anthony Davis’ status tonight is also probable when the LA Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies. He has had the same designation since coming back from a right foot stress injury on January 25. Davis has missed just two games since sitting out for 5 ½ weeks due to the said injury.
The eight-time NBA All-Star sat out last Wednesday versus the OKC Thunder to allow his right foot to rest. He has played in the last two games looking refreshed and eager to carry the LA Lakers without the injured LeBron James.
Davis is averaging 38.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in his last two games. It’s the first time he has had back-to-back games with at least 30 points after exploding for 44 and 55 on Dec. 2 and 4.
The 2020 NBA champ is expected to play his 41st game this season after appearing just 40 times last year for the LA Lakers.
D’Angelo Russell: Right ankle sprain; Injured since: February 26, 2023:
The LA Lakers have upgraded D’Angelo Russell to questionable for their game tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. He last played on February 26 versus the Dallas Mavericks. The former NBA All-Star barely played that game after spraining his right ankle.
Russell reportedly practiced with the team, so there’s a chance he could suit up for the purple and gold as they push for a playoff slot.
Dennis Schroder has done an incredible job for the Lakers while Russell has been out. The German international, however, is also banged up and could use another playmaker to help him set up the offense.
D’Angelo Russell will likely be a game-time decision. If he’s unable to play again, Schroder will handle starting point guard duties again.
Jrue Holiday: Neck soreness; Injured since: March 5, 2023
Jrue Holiday apparently got hit in the Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the Washington Wizards the other night. He still played 34 minutes and finished with 19 points, two rebounds and seven assists. The Bucks have ruled him questionable tonight.
If the perennial All-NBA defensive team member is unavailable, Jevon Carter and Pat Connaughton could see more playing time.
