"S**t the bed in the 3rd and came in the 4th on f**king fire" - Lakers fans in disbelief as team goes on a 23-6 run in 4th quarter vs Raptors

The LA Lakers overcame a horrendous third quarter to go on a 23-6 run to start the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors. Anthony Davis and co. entered the second half leading by eight points. They were trending in the right direction at the time but surprisingly got outscored 25-15 in the third.

The Raptors didn't capitalize on LA's turnovers down the stretch, giving them only a five-point lead to chase entering the fourth. Led by Austin Reaves, the Purple and Gold didn't take long to overturn that deficit.

Laker fans offered hilarious reactions to the team's up-and-down performance in the second half. One fan wrote:

LA Lakers backcourt rotation takes care of business in comeback win over Raptors

The LA Lakers scripted multiple comebacks in their game against the Toronto Raptors before eventually clinching a 122-112 win. They were down 15 in the first quarter before taking an eight-point lead entering the break and down 12 in the third before winning the contest by 10 points.

Anthony Davis was limited to only eight points on seven shots. The Raptors aggressively doubled him and forced his supporting cast to deliver the goods. However, LA's depth was on display as the team's third star, D'Angelo Russell, and the role players stepped up big-time.

Russell scored a team-high 28 points, with five rebounds and nine assists. He shot 10-of-17, including five triples. Dennis Schroder had 23 points and seven assists off the bench, while Austin Reaves, Jarred Vanderbilt and Rui Hachimura scored over 15 points.

Russell, Reaves and Schroder combined to score 33 of LA's 37 fourth-quarter points, shooting 12-of-16, including 6-of-7 from deep. They were the instigators in handing the lead back to the Lakers down the stretch after an abysmal third quarter when the team was outscored 25-15.

LA desperately needed that effort from their three backcourt players as Davis struggled on offense due to the Raptors' schemes. The Lakers were two games behind the .500 mark entering the contest and had a chance to close the gap to the sixth seed after the eighth-placed Timberwolves' recorded a 124-123 OT loss against the Nets earlier.

The T'Wolves and ninth-placed Lakers have 34 losses apiece, while the fifth-placed Clippers, sixth-placed Warriors, and seventh-placed Mavs have 33 losses each. The Purple and Gold are only 1.5 games behind the Clippers and a game behind the Warriors. They have the third easiest schedule remaining.

The 17-time champions have the momentum with eight wins in their last 10 games, giving them a legitimate shot at claiming a top-six finish this season.
