Draymond Green and Jordan Poole have found themselves in the spotlight. After their practice altercation, many have wondered if the Golden State Warriors team can get back on track.

The video showing Green punching Poole spread rapidly last week. It sent fans into a frenzy and eventually saw Green publicly apologize for his actions.

Many former NBA players and coaches have said that this type of thing happens in the league. However, former Warriors star Kevin Durant said that he's “been in the league 16 years and I’ve never seen that."

Speaking recently on "Undisputed," analyst Shannon Sharpe said that he agreed with Durant.

“Thank you, KD," Sharpe said. "People make it seem like punching is something that happens in locker rooms all the time. … The dynamic of the Warriors' locker room will never be the same.”

The Golden State Warriors will likely proceed with caution regarding Jordan Poole and Draymond Green. Both players are known to be vocal and competitive on the court. It's clear in this incident that Green crossed a line, and the team fined the veteran.

After the leaked video showing Green striking Poole, the forward announced he would step away from the team. It was recently announced by coach Steve Kerr that Green would return to the team and play in Friday's preseason game.

Golden State has a veteran roster that features plenty of individuals who have dealt with adversity before. However, for a team that is fresh of a championship, it's an uncomfortable start to its title defense.

Kerr will have his work cut out for him, but he's no stranger to this type of situation as well. Kerr was once famously in a physical altercation with NBA legend Michael Jordan during their time with the Chicago Bulls. That could help put Kerr in a position to help Poole and Green figure this all out.

Golden State is coming off an impressive season that ended with its fourth championship in eight years.

Poole, the No. 28 pick in the 2019 draft, has improved in each of his three NBA seasons. Last season was a breakout year as he averaged career highs in points (18.5 per game), assists (4.0), rebounds (3.4) and minutes (30.0) with a career-best 51 starts.
