Golden State Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myers was recently invited to "97.5 The Game". Myers was asked about the chemistry between the young and veteran players in the team. The host felt like there are ongoing chemistry and trust issues within the squad that need to be addressed.

Myers acknowledged that the Warriors do have their moments when it comes to the relationship between veterans and young players. He said:

"I have belief in these guys. There's times in a game where the young guys aren't performing. The vets get frustrated but not to the degree where it has tipped over any edge at this point."

For the most part, Bob Myers is indeed stating facts about the Warriors managing to get along despite the shortcomings of the new guys. However, basketball fans will never forget the time when Draymond Green sucker-punched Jordan Poole during practice. Green is the only one on the team who has snapped at a young player.

It's unavoidable for veterans to feel frustrated towards the new guys. There are certain things that the newbies are still learning. Fortunately for the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala are patient enough to trust the process.

The Golden State Warriors have had a rough start to the season. They may be the defending champions, but it doesn't feel like they're putting in enough effort. The Warriors currently sit in 12th in the West with a 4-7 record. Their target of repeating this season could be unattainable if they continue to play like this.

Steph Curry is currently the oldest player in the squad but is still carrying the majority of the load. His MVP performances are the reason why the Warriors have won a few games this season. The organization also extended Jordan Poole's contract with the expectation that he will become the next big thing.

However, Poole has a long way to go before the team can rely on him. He is currently averaging 15.2 points and 4.9 assists per game. Poole's worst performance this season came in his team's 116-113 win over the Sacramento Kings. Poole finished the game with two points and three assists in 22 minutes.

James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga have also been inconsistent so far this season, with both averaging 7.3 and 4.9 points per game respectively. With that being said, it's no surprise to see some tension between the new and old guys in the locker room.
