Gods Reign demonstrated a much-needed comeback in the fourth week of the BGIS The Grind 2024. The Destro-led squad had a disappointing start to the contest as they collected only 17 points in their initial three matches. Improving their play style and performances, the club topped their group in Week 4 and added 41 important points in three games.

That said, it was not enough for them to earn a spot in the top 16 of the overall standings. Gods Reign has a total of 58 points in six matches and has managed to make it into the top 64. Only 64 out of the total 255 teams have not played their remaining three matches in the event. Their matches are scheduled to be held on April 27 and 28. After the completion of this competition, the 65 top clubs will be given a direct ticket to the BGIS 2024.

Earlier this year, Gods Reign announced the signing of the former Gladiators Esports roster, who dominated completely in 2023 and also conquered the previous edition of the BGIS. However, since their addition, the superstar lineup has been seen struggling in many tournaments so far this year.

Gods Reign's performance in The Grind Week 4

The Destro-led crew presented an aggressive start to the fourth week of the Grind as the side pulled off a stunning 24-point victory in their first match. They hammered experienced opponents like GodLike and Medal Esports in this encounter and clinched 14 eliminations. Their BGMI pros Justin and Destro were phenomenal, picking up five and three finishes respectively.

Gods Reign also played well in their second game of the Grind Week 4 and added 11 points, including eight eliminations. Shogun was the top performer from his squad and eliminated three players in this round. Stellar Esports was the winning team in this match.

In the third battle, held on Sanhok, Gods Reign failed to perform like their previous two matches. They earned six points, five of which came from finishes. Their captain Destro picked up two eliminations there. GodLike Esports emerged victorious in the third encounter.

The renowned lineup will now fight to defend their BGIS title in the India Series 2024. The squad is known for strong performances and will strive to enhance its play in the upcoming mega contest. There are also some rumors that the organization is going to shut down its entire esports operations. However, Gods Reign has not made any official announcement regarding this yet.
