The IPL is back again. The sixth edition of the tournament is due to start in April but the IPL auctions are all set to kick off. 101 players will go under the hammer during the February 3 auction and each franchise has a salary cap of $12.5 million to spend on their squads, The franchises can have a maximum of 33 players, which would include 11 from overseas. Though the top teams look well settled, this is the chance for the struggling teams to bolster their squad. This IPL will feature 9 teams including the new look Hyderabad side – Hyderabad Sun Raisers.

Here is a team-by-team break-up of the squads and the amount left with them to spend during the auction.

Chennai Super Kings

The most successful IPL franchise will look to win back the trophy this season from the Kolkata Knight Riders. The MS Dhoni led side has already signing the young sensation Baba Aparajith. Though they have 16 slots left to be filled in, they would like to add a few fringe players.
